Colin and Julianne gathered with their closest family and friends on Saturday on a super warm day in November. JUST KIDDING. It was one of the coldest days, and these two proved that their military training didn’t just train/toughen them up for their work assignments, but rather their wedding day! HAHA! Fortunately, we just had to get through two hours of the day outside, and then we could enjoy the indoor warmth the remainder of the evening. That sounds manageable, right? It’s all about that 75-degree beach mindset. 😉
You might recognize these two from a recent blog post because we met up a month ago to document their fall engagement portraits on Skyline Drive. Although, they didn’t bring their adorable, cuddly prop … Except, they kind of did because they had a personalized cake topper made to have Guinness there in spirit. 🙂 Love that! For their wedding day, they envisioned a romantic outdoor wedding surrounded by the natural, rustic elements of the vineyard. The outdoor space is what led them to book Breaux Vineyards, so despite the 39-degree temps, they were going to make it work! And they did with lots and lots of blankets. While everyone wore heavy coats and blankets during the ceremony, Julianne and her besties had on minimal layers; so I commend them for making it look so easy!! Speaking of her besties, they helped tie in the fall wedding color scheme with their cabernet colored dresses (appropriate that the color was labeled as cabernet, considering they got married at a vineyard) and blush accented bouquets. What was unique was the small detail of black that was sprinkled throughout the details from the invitation to the bouquets. Flora Couture used what looked like actual blackberries to add that little bit of black without it being so obvious. I loved that little touch that brought the entire vision to life! And thanks to Allison Barnes Events, she really helped bring everything together. <3
What was super fun to document and experience was the reception!!! DJ Stoundyn played many fun, classic songs with some 90s throwbacks! When “Everybody” by Backstreet Boys started to play, guests threw their arms up in the air and screamed! Haha! So cute — I wanted to join them!!! I love that the DJ Stoundyn stopped the music and said, “Whoa. It’s like we are at an actual Backstreet Boys concert!” Hahaha! Of courseeeee! 😉 I really enjoyed running around photographing the fun candids around the room, and I cannot wait for Colin and Julianne to see the entire collection of photos!! What a fun day!
Colin & Julianne’s Wedding Day
While it was FREEZING outside, the girls were nice and cozy inside with their bubbly. 🙂 Julianne, you look SO happy! I love it!!!Â
Colin was also inside in the warmth getting ready to see his bride shortly. 🙂
I love these customized wine cork gifts to their guests!
Colin gave Julianne a series of SUPER thoughtful gifts!!! They all tied into the theme of traveling together, like a monogrammed jewelry box, flipflop Pandora pendant, a Pelican case, a monogrammed Tiffany’s dog tag and many more!!
I love these darling heels!!!
While Julianne opened her gifts, Colin had his own gift to unopen. 🙂
I loved seeing the excitement in the room as Julianne got dressed!!! Also, I love that she had her garter embroidered with their wedding hashtag! Haha!
Their invitation set is so classy!! I loved the gold impression against the black paper.
The comb in the photo below was Julianne’s something old to wear on her wedding day passed down from her mom!
After getting dressed, it was time to brave the cold. I cannot even put into words how freezing it was outside. The temps read 39 degrees, but that was without the wind chill factored in. Do you see Julianne’s dress blowing below? That’s how windy it was!!! We actually had to pin back some hair while we were photographing portraits!!!
They went back to back and counted down to see each other. 🙂 Colin thought she looked absolutely stunning!!!! And she is stunning in these portraits!!
I love you cannot really tell how windy or freezing it was outside when looking through these photos!!! They kept saying, “It’s not cold! It’s not cold! It’s notttttt collllllddddd!!!”
What is obvious in these portraits are their contagious SMILES!!!! 🙂
Gorgeous, Julianne!!!
“It’s not cold! It’s not cold! It’s nottttt collllllddddd!!!” Gosh, you all are brave souls without any layers on!!! And you look great!!!
I’m pretty sure the girls were talking about the beach at this point… HAHA!
It was time to brave the cold a little longer and get HITCHED!!!! 🙂 Not only did Colin, Julianne, and the wedding party tough through the cold again, but the guests also sat outside to witness these two tie the knot surrounded by the beautiful mountain view and vines!!!
The lighting was perfect!!! 🙂
Awe!!! That smile!! 🙂 I was expecting them to do a super short and to the point ceremony, but I’m so glad they still had a very personable ceremony. <3
MARRIED!!!!!
A little personal time together during the ceremony. What better way to celebrate than pop a bottle of champagne! Haha!
I love this cute seat assignment set up!!
I loved the giggles and laughs as they danced to “You Make it Easy” by Jason Aldean for the first time as husband and wife. <3
Wonderful speeches to the bride and groom. 🙂 I love how every person agrees that they could not be more prepared for this time of their lives. Both Colin and Julianne are strong individuals, and even stronger together. <3
I loved the way Colin’s mom admired these two.
In the meantime, on the side of the dance floor, there were these three guys dancing to Beyonce’s “Single Ladies.” HAHAH!
GETTTTTT ITTTTTT!!!!! HAHA!
Look! Guinness decided to join the party too!!!! 🙂 Remember meeting him during their engagement session last month?!
Successful day!!!! YAY!!!!
