Oh, these two. Chris and Chanel stole my heart years ago when we got to know each other during their exciting engagement season. Since then, we celebrated their wedding back in October 2016 (it was a fun day I’ll NEVER forget!!), and now we celebrate the coming of Baby Liquido!!! Seeing Chris and Chanel share their excitement during this anticipating time makes me so thrilled for them! Although I know it must be scary at the same time, the enthusiasm overrules. 😉
When Chanel reached out to me regarding their maternity portraits, I was honored they wanted me to continue documenting their love story!!! <3 We got to talking about their session backdrop, and Great Falls National Park came to mind when she was looking for a beautiful outdoor atmosphere. Nothing speaks more Mother Nature than the natural elements like water, trees, and rocks! While we were walking around, I was impressed with how Chanel handled the outdoor landscape, especially at 29-weeks pregnant. She was a natural hiker, which brought up an interesting fact about Chris! He said their first hiking adventure together involved him showing up in casual clothing while Chanel and their friends were dressed in appropriate hiking gear (basically ready to rock climb). HAHA! Poor Chris! He thought they were going for a “stroll.” But what he didn’t tell Chanel was that he was really preparing for this maternity session! AKA how to climb around rocks without getting dirty! HA!
I love ending the fall season with Chris and Chanel’s maternity portraits! We joked that they had planned this maternity session around the season because they had a spring engagement, fall wedding, and now a late fall/wintery maternity! Ha! And maybe they weren’t joking after all… 😉 Not only was this session a stunner, but I loved the entire ensemble they put together for their pictures! Chanel was enthusiastic about her dress because her designer put together her dress in two days! Amazing!!! I’m so glad it worked out because her outfit made this session so magical with the neutral backdrop. 🙂 While we were walking around and catching up, they mentioned that the sonogram looks like a good mix of their features. They are going to have one good looking baby!!! I cannot wait to see them with Baby Liquido in their arms very soon!!! AH!
