Coffee Talk Mondays

Coffee Talk Mondays

I promise I’m not trying to turn my blog into a once a week routine!! 😉 Even though my blog shows differently. Since driving down to Florida on Wednesday, I’ve been busy with album designs, emails, networking … and house projects! 😉 You’ll see what Alex and I have been up to in this post below! It has been nice to escape the wedding planning for a little bit because I’m battling with making everyone happy. I’m learning that I cannot make everyone happy and it’s HARD! I’ve asked Alex time and time again if we can just forgo a large party and just elope! 😉 HAHA!

To my fellow Virginians, I hope you are staying warm! When I left SUPER early Wednesday morning, a polar vortex was coming in… This winter is seriously ridiculous! HA! I’ll be coming back next weekend for a little bit so I hope the weather decides to warm up a little bit. 😉

MOCHA MOMENTS
THE SWEETER MEMORIES FROM THIS PAST WEEK

YUMMY.

I love a great little spot to catch up with friends. 🙂 One of those spots in Warrenton is Gateau! Lora (the owner) is SUPER sweet if you have the opportunity to meet her! I’m excited she will be a part of Alex and my special day!!! Now that I’m settling in Florida, I’m trying to adventure around. My friend, Dominique (who took proposal photos for Alex and me), and I tested out a coffee shop and loved the environment as well as the endless latte selection!!! YUMMM!!!!

FLORIDA PROJECTS!

Well, this weekend was like Christmas because … I got a miter saw!!! HA! Now I can tackle projects without asking to borrow someone’s miter saw. 🙂 I think I’ll be able to play with it today now that Alex’s bedroom is prepped for the next step!!!! YIPPPEEEE!!! I plan to put up board and batten trim, crown molding, and build/hang a barn door!! Once I have my furniture moved here, it’s going to look SO GOOD!!!!! Cannot wait!!!

CHURCH FAMILY

I’m SO grateful that Alex and I found our church!!!! I absolutely LOVE the community and the Sunday services, and cannot wait to serve my time when I officially move down here!! Last Thursday, I attended my first small group gathering and it was fun getting to know some of the girls! But I accidentally confused church time yesterday thinking it was the same time as small group (since Alex had to work), and I ended up arriving at the end of the first service. Just in time for the final thoughts and communion! WHOOPS! I ended up staying for the following service so I felt “extra Holy” yesterday. 😉 HA!

Also, I want to challenge you to do something sweet and thoughtful for someone who needs extra love this week! We have friends here who are dealing with a super sick husband and a three-month-old baby, so we dropped off a surprise meal at their doorstep because we know that meal prepping can be a struggle. Your “something sweet and thoughtful for the week” doesn’t have to be anything big, even a handwritten note to say that you have been thinking of them will lift their spirits! <3

FLORIDA BOUND!!!

I’m so glad that when Virginia deals with polar vortex or winter storms, Ollie and I have an escape plan. 😉 HAHA! JK! We love Virginia!!! I’m grateful we made it here safe and sound!!!

ESPRESSO MOMENTS
THE BITTER MEMORIES FROM THIS PAST WEEK

SOMETIMES MORNINGS COME TOO EARLY.

Sometimes mornings come too early for even my morning coffee as you can see below… WHOOPS. I’ve seen more “4 AM” alarms this past week than I have in … probably my lifetime! Haha! Alex’s current rotation involves a super early rise! Sometimes, I feel ambitious to get my day started at that time (only happened twice). 😉 But I can see how important sleep can be when you accidentally pour creamer into your water. HA! On a side note, I’m feeling BOUGIE with my SF vanilla and hazelnut coffee syrups. HAHA! My family got me into the kick and I love my fancy homemade vanilla lattes!

HAPPY MONDAY!!!!!! I hope this week starts on a positive note for you. <3
