I hope you all enjoyed your weekend!!! I cannot believe March is just days away. WEIRD. Time is just flyingggg by! I’m coming back to VA this week for a month and I guess it will be a good thing I plan on being around because there’s a LOT to do between business, prepping my house to sell, wedding planning, taxes, and everything in between. 🙂 I cannot wait till Alex and I have somewhat a normal routine in the near future. But that will be after we get married because there’s a lot of commotion in the meantime. On the flipside, it’s almost portrait season in VA and it’s time to start gearing up!!! I cannot wait to photograph my sweet couples in the SUNSHINE. Gosh, you don’t realize how much you need sunshine until it’s almost nonexistent. HA! Talk about cabin fever… Even in Florida! Anyways, lots to do today as I gear up for my road trip back home… Here is what I’ve been up to this past week!!!

HOME IMPROVEMENTS

I finished one of two projects I hoped to finish before my departure! His room looks SO different! 🙂 New paint, crown molding, and board and batten style trim!

This is the second project I’m working on right now in the right photo below. 🙂 🙂 🙂 A sliding barn door! I bought a $15 plain door from Restore, installed wood trim to reflect the board and batten style, and painted it! I just installed the track header and I’m hoping to install the door today with the new hardware! Be on the lookout for updates soon!

I am so grateful for these two in my life!!!! Ollie and I just celebrated our first anniversary together … Just wait till you see the blog post coming this week!!! It’s the CUTEST!!!!!

SO. MUCH. RAIN.

I was secretly hoping for a little sunshine in my life before driving back up to VA this week. It has been SUPER rainy. But it appears that we are experiencing spring down here so I guess I cannot complain. 😉 The flowers are starting to bloom and it’s definitely warming up! I cannot wait to come back down here and enjoy some beach time in the near future!!!

TAXES

Taxes consumed my life this past week… BLAH!!! It’s not the most glamorous part of being a business owner. I analyze an entire year’s worth of expenses and categorize everything before handing it over to my CPA. Sometimes those numbers don’t balance out which means I have to investigate why I’m $3 off. Pooie. I cannot wait to check this one off my to do list!!!! 🙂
