Gosh, I feel like it has been FOREVER since I’ve last been on here… There’s a good reason for that too! As the week of Easter approached, Alex and I kept playing with the idea of me visiting. I was so convinced that I should stay in VA to relax and take care of wedding projects. However, as the weekend quickly approached, we thought why NOT relax and do wedding projects down there?! I decided to pack up my things and head south after photographing my dear friend’s elopement on Oak Island! I’m so glad I did!!! I put my computer away and decided to be fully intentional with my time with Alex while I was visiting. It’s so hard to make time for myself, but knowing how busy the next two months are going to be, I knew I needed some R+R! It was hard to leave my computer shut for almost a week, but I’m slowly but surely checking off my list again now that I’m back. 🙂

ALSO!!!! Do we have any Game of Thrones fans in here?! Last night’s episode was not what I expected, but it was awesome!!!! Cannot wait to see what happens next. 🙂 🙂 🙂 I’m glad I didn’t have nightmares… Last week’s episode with the little child on the wall freaked me out for the rest of the week! HA! Anywayyyyys, let’s catch up from the past two weeks!!!

EASTER WITH MY LOVE

Gosh, I needed this. I got to spend time with Alex before June!!! YAY! He worked like a dog while I was visiting, but any amount of time was sufficient. <3 I’m so incredibly lucky I get to marry him very soon!! CANNOT WAIT!!!!

Loved making time for reading and wedding projects. I took over Alex’s kitchen and it worked great! Ha! I felt so 1920s sewing and cooking at the same time. 😉 

I loved attending church with this handsome guy. <3 I get to marry him in 53 days!!!! AH!

THAT WATER IS UNREAL. Friends, come visit when I move here in July!!!!!! <3 Plus, the acai bowls are so good!!! Loved spending time with Florida friends while I was visiting. 🙂

Ollie was a fantastic travel buddy this past trip!!!!! 🙂

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOM!!!!!

This past weekend was a fun one as my family and I made sure my mom felt loved and celebrated! <3 The family and I gathered Friday evening at Grass Rootes (YUM!) for great conversations and delicious food. Yesterday, we celebrated some more with a winery date and lotsssss of cheese at Pearmund Cellars. It was a perfect weekend! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOM!!!!

LINDSAY AND ALEX ARE MARRIED!!!!

I cannot begin to tell you how much of an honor it was to stand by my friend’s side to document and celebrate her and her Alex’s special day! It was very intimate as they stood alone with the officiant in the middle of the beach to vow their love to one another. <3  I cannot wait to share the photos I captured of their ceremony so family and friends have the opportunity to experience the evening through my lens! Their happiness is contagious and I cannot wait to share the photos on the blog!!! AH! CONGRATS, my sweet friends!!!

DANGEROUS TRAVELS

As I made my way down south, I knew I was going to go through some crazy storms. So I made a pit stop in the middle of nowhere and found myself with a yummy Keto-friendly coffee and a new daily devotional book to support the shop. 🙂 I’m SO glad I was stalled on my journey to Florida because I found out a tornado touched down around the highway just moments before I arrived. I ended up getting stuck in two hours of traffic because of the debris on the road! It was pretty scary driving through a dark wall of rain, but I’m grateful I made it down there and back safe and sound. 🙂

AT LEAST HE’S CUTE…

Sometimes I expect better from Ollie. I walked into my house a couple of weeks ago and was missing a sandal. Don’t worry, though! I found it! I found it in Ollie’s droppings. Yikes! What dogs do amaze me… But on the flipside, I cannot stay mad at him for long especially seeing him loving all over Alex!!! Melts my heart every time! <3
