Gosh, I’m not even sure where to start?! Lindsay has been a dear friend of mine since ninth grade … I don’t even want to count how many years ago that was. 😉 HA! Countless sleepovers … screaming at the top of our lungs to Backstreet Boys … plenty of boy talk … And all of this continued even after college! I love this girl to pieces and when I received a phone call from Lindsay excitingly telling me her plans to run off with Alex … I thought, “DUH! I wanted to run off with them too!!! Can I just grab my Alex too and make it a double elopement date?!” Jk … But seriously. I couldn’t be more excited about their plans!! And when she told me she wanted to have me by her side to photograph it, I about died! Her request humbled me because I was going to be the only one representing family and friends from home. At first, the elopement was top secret, but when I was on the phone with her sister (who you saw on the blog yesterday!!!) for her final meeting, she told me how excited she was for her sister! I was relieved I didn’t have to beat around the bush with her sister and act like I didn’t know about Lindsay’s grand plan. It turned out that Lindsay and Alex couldn’t keep it too much of a secret for great reasons! They LOVE their family too much not to have their blessing. Their families were so excited for them, and now they have these beautiful photos to give them the elopement experience! I love that! Lindsay and Alex bounced back and forth with different elopement location ideas, but they finally settled on Oak Island where Lindsay grew up attending beach vacations throughout her life. It was a special place then, and now it’s even more special because it’s now the place where Lindsay and Alex said yes to forever. <3 Check out their special day below!!!
ALEX & LINDSAY’S WEDDING DAY
It all started at the quaint Robert Ruark Inn Bed and Breakfast. Little did they know that it was the most anticipated event of the day there!! Just see what I mean below. 😉
Lindsay and her dress were hidden upstairs while she prepped to see her groom. 🙂
They have an entire box filled with exchanged letters from the past so Lindsay wanted to write a very special letter to her love on their wedding day. 🙂Â
I’m so glad Lindsay and my fake accent talks growing up is appropriate now that she’s with a man from England! 😉 HA! Although, Lindsay was always able to pull off a spot on accent and mine … not so much! HA!
Final touches while Alex tried keeping his calm moments before seeing his bride!
So this is what I was talking about above — Little did they know there was going to be a crowd anticipating the moment Alex and Lindsay got to see each other for the first time! HAHA! It just added to the story of the day. 🙂
Then the time came for them to see each other and elope!
They looked so darn beautiful!!!!
There was a little excitement involved. Just a little. 😉
Then it was time to hitch!!! Lindsay was given the signal to walk to her love surrounded by God’s beautiful creation.
So peaceful. <3
Awe, I love the tears of happiness in this photo!!!
They filled up a jar of sand to take and cherish from their ceremony on Oak Island. 🙂
THEY DID IT!!!! HUSBAND AND WIFE!!!!!
I can hear Lindsay laughing in this photo. 🙂 So cheerful!!
We also celebrated with their live painter (their second witness) who was a family friend on the island! 🙂
I love that they have a painting to forever cherish the day!
After a little celebrating, we took advantage of the beautiful light and played in the sand. 🙂 Gosh, LINDSAY! You’re beautiful!!!
Love the joy!
Then they took a moment to have their first dance as husband and wife on the beach to Ed Sheeran’s, Thinking Out Loud. <3
Gosh, I have SO many favorites!!!! We spent the entire time leading up to sunset running around having fun!
Do I need to say more?! I HAVE SO MANY FAVORITES!!!!!
SO MANY.
I found this unique location close by for a change of scenery. 🙂 I love southern trees!!!
The grand finale happened at “The Point” where we witnessed the most beautiful sunset!
I loved how playful they were in front of the camera — They were floating on cloud nine!!!! <3

That sunset!!! <3
So perfect. <3 <3 <3 A great way to end the day!!!!
