Somehow, we managed to photograph these portraits on one of the hottest days in May. But it was worth the trade off after postponing their initial engagement session date from the threat of rain! I mean… I don’t know anyone who would willingly want to photograph a session in the rain if we had a choice … Not me! The funny part was as soon as I stepped out of the car to meet with Johnny and Amanda, they said they were bummed they couldn’t quite pull off the winter look. 😉 Haha! If I only brought that hot chocolate then it would have felt like winter in their photos … Just maybe. Even with the greenest background of springtime. 😉 We have a thing about hot chocolate because during their initial meeting with me at my home office, I served them homemade hot chocolate! Believe me, it was YUMMY. Since then, Johnny jokes that they booked me for the hot chocolate. HA! Hey, I’ll take it! 😉

It was so fun running around Stone Tower Winery with them as the smiles and laughs came effortlessly throughout our time together. You’ll definitely see that below! 🙂 And they totally had me laughing with them as they exchanged hilarious stories from travels to NYC and dog diving competitions (yes, that’s actually a thing!). I love their playful sense of humor and how they make each other so happy!!! I cannot wait to document their love again SOON on their wedding day!!!

I love this running photo below because Amanda told me how their dog escaped from her and ran up a hill during a diving competition. She tried running up the steep hill she said her legs weren’t moving… just her arms were doing the work! Haha! They still laugh about it to this day, which is why I thought it was hilarious to capture this for them. 🙂
