Gosh … I continue to photograph stunning weddings one after another this spring season! You’re going to LOVE looking through this eye candy today. <3 Kevin and Briana’s beauty shines from within! They don’t just enjoy making each other laugh and smile, they are truly best friends — That will be VERY evident below!!! I noticed their chemistry during their Sky Meadows Park engagement session last fall and that experience had me SO excited for their wedding day! My website is already decorated with their photos and now I have even more favorites to add!!! Hehe! I say this throughout the blog post, but they really do belong in front of the camera. 🙂
As their big day approached, the threat of storms kept teasing us. We had to be prepared for anything — Even during the final hours. They had umbrellas ready to go in case a rain shower came through, but fortunately for us, the storms went around us and we were in the clear! WHEW! So many answered prayers!!!! We even had the sun shining which is a beautiful reminder of the blessings we had that day. <3 The blooming peony gardens during their wedding was another blessing! Peonies were Briana’s grandmother’s favorite flower so it was so fitting for her to be there in spirit for their celebration. 🙂 Speaking of family, I loved seeing the love Kevin and Briana had for their families!!! You’ll see that consistent theme throughout their day. Briana is an only child and to see her and her father’s relationship was so sweet. As soon as he walked in to see her all dolled up, he knew he lost all of his bets for the remainder of the day as tears streamed down his face. And he really lost all of his bets… He even called himself out during his FOB speech during the reception. HA! But I’m glad he didn’t hold back his emotions. 🙂
While Kevin and Briana planned their wedding, they were designing their day to fit the “French countryside” feel. The beauty of Oatlands speaks for itself with the manicured gardens, boxwood hedges, secret gardens, and so much more!! To not overpower the natural beauty of the venue, they kept the color scheme to neutrals with pops of gold and pinks. The gardens were in full bloom so color surrounded the tent which was fun for guests to wander and get lost during the cocktail hour in the tiered gardens. I loved the simplicity of the day so we could really focus on the relationships with their family/friends! Check out their special day below!!!
KEVIN & BRIANA’S WEDDING DAY
I arrived at Oatlands Historic House and Gardens early enough to scope out some locations for the day. I remembered Briana raving about the greenhouse — So I took a chance and asked if she wouldn’t mind stepping into the warm room to get dressed. I also loved the space because of the light and the ample moving room as opposed to the basement bridal suite. 🙂 Although, on a hot day it can be challenging to stand in the greenhouse for an extended period, but we made it happen!!! And I love the results!!
Briana was GLOWING all day long. <3
Not only was Briana super photogenic, but also her feminine details.
Then her dad saw her… And he lost $10 in a bet that he wouldn’t cry. Of course, not only did he cry but everyoneeee followed his lead!
I saw the depth of Briana’s relationship with her parents, and she was obviously raised by infinite love!!
Just around the corner, Kevin was inside getting ready to see his bride! <3
Briana gifted her parents personalized napkins for them to cherish forever. 🙂
After heartfelt hugs, it was time to see her groom!!!
And their reactions to seeing each other… Gosh, I adore them!
Then we played in the gardens! Kevin and Briana made my job EASY. WOW.
THIS RIGHT PHOTO — BRIANA!!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS?! #totalrockstar
Kora, Briana’s family pup, came out for some photos!!! 🙂 So precious!!
Before we knew it, it was time to gather their tribes together!! This was one photogenic crew!
And yes, Kona. You’re counted as a part of the “photogenic crew.” 😉
Briana — You belong in front of the camera!!!! WOW.
To say there was lots of laughter on Saturday might be an understatement. 🙂
The guys and gals were able to run inside for 30-minutes to cool off before the ceremony. 🙂 Guests gathered in the bottom garden to await their arrival!
Then… it was go time!!!
I think Briana’s dad lost many bets that day. HA!
They stood in front of their favorite people to declare their vows and love to one another. It was so heartfelt and beautiful!!!
YESSSSSS!!!!!! They did it!!!
Initially, we were only going to spend 5-10 minutes of newlywed portraits following the ceremony, but we had too much fun in the gardens and the atmosphere that it turned into the entire cocktail hour time! I mean … Just see what I mean below! They are total babes!!!
Thanks to Briana’s bestie, Sam, for making this shot happen with her veil flying skills!!!
Wow!!!!!! <3
The smiles and laughter continued throughout the day/night. 🙂
LOVE. I’m glad we took advantage of the blooming peonies, especially since they were Briana’s grandmother’s favorite flower. <3 They were surrounded by her love/spirit all day long!
Briana’s bestie made this comb for her to wear that had a piece of her childhood blanket on it! What a cute idea!!
Don’t you love these “Fun Fact” napkins?! So fun!!!! And those velvet tablecloths… SERIOUSLY.
I always love a Polaroid station!!!
Leah Letters did it again!!!
Briana and Kevin went for a clean, classy, timeless design. And Rachel from The One Moment Events brought the entire vision together with her awesome team!
To personalize the details, Kevin and Briana included photos at each table. 🙂
Then the party started — Please tell me this is a GoT reference? 🙂 This might be one of my favorite entrances!!! HA!
Then the party REALLY started!!!
Nailed it!
Briana’s father shared a slideshow with photos throughout her childhood years till that special day. It was so sweet!
I loved their reactions to some of the photos/videos!! HAHA!
As soon as the toasts were done, we headed out to frolic in the golden light!!! 🙂
I cannot help but think of the song, “Loving You is Easy” when I look at these photos!!!
YESSSSSS!!!!!
BRIANA! I’ll say it again… You are a STUNNER! WOW.
They are so incredibly sweet together! And I loved that we had a bit of a view for these sunset portraits. 🙂 Brought me back to their engagement session!!!
Rachel from The One Moment Events nailed the veil throw! Thank you!!!
We came back to enjoy a delicious feast by RSVP catering and hear the toasts from Kevin and Briana’s besties!!
This photo of Kevin and Briana — BAHAHA! I literally busted out laughing when I was going through their photos. Kevin’s reaction is priceless!
Then Briana’s father met her in the middle of the dance floor for their dance … $10 lost to another bet? HAHA!
I loved looking over to see Briana with her parents all smiling and crying watching Kevin with his mother dancing. <3
The evening was flying by so it was finally time to bust some moves on the dance floor!!!
Thanks, Dan, for bringing the energy to the floor!
A beautiful night!!!
For their favors, they had fun jellies for their guests to take home. That apple pie one sounded DELICIOUS!
PVI friends!!!!
I LOVE THESE TWO!!!!
The LED wands were fun to photograph!
One last hug before heading out as Mrs. Kodadek!!!!! Saturday ended perfectly. 🙂 They loaded up the limo and met up with family and friends at Spanky’s Pub to continue the celebrating!
THANK YOU, Kevin and Briana, for having me on Saturday!!! I’m still on cloud nine after celebrating with you all. <3 It wasn’t just the atmosphere that made it so picture-perfect — It was YOU! Your enthusiasm, joy, and love for one another was evident and came naturally in front of the camera! When I look through your photos, I see your bright, cheerful, and beautiful personalities, which is “SO you!” Thank you for everything!!!
