Dylan & Theresa | Belle Haven Country Club, Virginia Wedding Photographer

Saturday of Memorial Day weekend was another BEAUTIFUL one!!!! <3 I told you that you would see Dylan and Theresa on the blog again shortly after their engagement portraits were featured last week. 🙂 And here they are! All dressed up and HUSBAND AND WIFE! And boy … The party they threw for their guests was an unforgettable one!!! The decorations were stunning, the band was INCREDIBLE and had the dance floor packed the entire evening wanting more!! I was very impressed, but after really getting to know this family throughout Andrew and Beth Ann’s wedding years ago, I didn’t expect anything less. 🙂

When Dylan and Theresa were planning their wedding, their vision really came to life thanks to The Rosy Posey and Terry Larkin! The color scheme was bold and colorful, and it was BEAUTIFUL! I was chatting with Ella from The Rosy Posey while she was setting up the head table, and the pink, coral, and gold color scheme reminded us of Lilly Pulitzer! SPOT ON. It was fun, flirty, classy, beautiful, and youthful just like Theresa and Dylan! You’ll also notice some little duck references throughout the wedding day. 🙂 It’s their little thing after Dylan said he wanted to make sure he had his ducks in a row before marrying his “Sweet T.” Haha! So cute that they added little ducks in the reception as well as the groomsmen fun socks! He got the best of both worlds because he now has the most incredible woman AND a great future as a Doctor! I loved overhearing guests rave about these two as individuals and better yet, together as a couple. I know without a doubt that these two will have an incredible future together as husband and wife. <3

Check out their day below!!!!

DYLAN & THERESA’S WEDDING DAY

You know I was excited when I saw this pink Mrs. Box to photograph!!! So many pretty details to kick off the wedding day! <3

Just like Theresa’s sister, Beth Ann, she got ready at her parent’s house. 🙂 And of COURSE, Charlie needed to make an appearance!!! HAHAHA!!!! I loved when the girls piled on the bed for a photo, Charlie was on the side wondering if they left room for him. 😉 So photogenic!!

Girl time and mimosas … I cannot think of a better way to start the celebration!

Theresa slipped into her dress … JAW DROPPING GORGEOUS!!!!! Her mother said that her dress has a little of everything everyone in the family hoped she would wear! Sparkle for her sister … The high neckline for her mom … The lace … The illusion back … Everything!!!! It’s the PERFECT dress and she OWNED IT!!!! <3 I’ve never photographed anything like this dress from Atelier Bridal!

Beautiful invitation suite by Added Touches by Terry Larkin!

That hanger… LOVE.

The ring box … the back of the dress … her hair … EVERYTHING.

Then her dad saw her dressed up and COULD believe how beautiful she was!!! Haha! She’s already a beauty. <3 Also, The Rosy Posy NAILED it with these florals!!!! WOW.

Theresa’s parents gifted her a bracelet to match her new wedding band. So thoughtful!!! She will cherish this forever!

About an hour away, the guys were sprucing up for the ceremony. And Dylan was prepping to see his BRIDE!

Do I need to say more about the florals? So good!!!

As Dylan’s mom whispered something to Dylan before the first look with Theresa, her eyes filled with tears. Such sweet memories. <3

Then after the long day of anticipation, Dylan got to see his “Sweet T!”

They exchanged letters to read, but Dylan thought it would be funny to prank her with a short letter first. She got a kick out of it!! He did too. 😉 HAHA!

As Dylan read his letter from Theresa, I couldn’t help but notice the sushi on the card. 😉 Love it!!! For those who didn’t know, they decided on Japan as their honeymoon destination!!!

Seriously … Theresa, you’re STUNNING!!!!

AWE!!!! I LOVE THIS!!!

I love this photo with the sisters looking at each other. <3 Also, those duck socks!!!! Perfect!

What a fun bunch!!!

So pretty, ladies!!!

The bros!

While everyone tried soaking in the a/c after running around outside for the first look and wedding party photos, the guests started to find their seats for the ceremony. I watched the venue and floral team work hard to transform this patio space to what you see below because it was covered with patio furniture and umbrellas. I love the twinkle lights and what The Rosy Posy did with the altar!!!

WHAT AN ENTRANCE!!!!!! I seriously got CHILLS when I saw Theresa and her father made their way down the stairs.

I had to include this photo after Theresa’s father referred to this very moment during his FOB toast in the evening. 🙂

What a view!

YAY!!!!!!

Beautiful families. <3

After more family photos, we quickly ran around for newlywed portraits before they ran off to enjoy cocktail hour! Of COURSE, I needed to use this incredible arbor for some of their photos!!! Those colors against the greenery backdrop… Love it!

Tossing rose petals are some of my favorites!!!!

LOVEEEE!!!

Beautiful, Theresa!!!!

You see Dylan sporting his new bling?!

Inside, the guests were enjoying cocktail hour while the vendors were making sure the reception was picture-perfect! And it was!!!

They had the bar stocked up and ready to go with two signature drinks, “T-Tini” for Theresa and “Doctor’s Order, ‘Optimal Wit’ Port City” for Dylan.

They had fun stirrers, napkins, and everything in between. When guests first walked in, the table had photos on display. Theresa’s family even managed to quickly print some of the pictures from their engagement session to feature here!

It’s always nice to have a dedication table with family portraits on display!

Now check out what everyone created … The colors of the florals and stationery transformed this room!!!!

Look at the little ducks!!!! HAHA! PERFECT! If you didn’t read above and if you don’t know the story, Dylan wanted to make sure he had all of his “ducks in a row” before he got down on one knee. So ducks are their thing! Haha!

Look at that head table covered with florals!

Down the hall, everyone enjoyed the conversations, drinks, food, and laughs!

The mother of the bride even managed to get her original bridal party together for a photo! So fun!!!

But shortly after, it was PARTY TIME!!!!!!

Goodness, they looked exquisite!

The father of the bride speech was from the heart and made everyone laugh and even cry!

These sibling speeches were AMAZING!!! Way to go, Beth Ann and Devin! Beth Ann tied in so many fun Disney references throughout her speech while Devin talked about connecting her with his twin brother at JMU. I loved hearing the stories!!

Theresa and her father had fun before the big day and took dance lessons together. 🙂

Then it was time to cut the beautiful and yummy cake!!!!

I loved how Theresa teased him for that bite. He played along with it! HA! Then… it was DANCING TIME!!!!

Free Spirit Band (Entertainment Exchange) WAS INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not only did they sing a wide variety of music, but they were also playful and fun behind the microphone with choreographed dancing!

She was a powerhouse singing Whitney Houston! WHEW, GIRL! GET IT!

The evening quickly came to an end, but it was perfect!!!

I loved spending my Saturday with these two as well as their families and friends!!! <3

YAY!!!!

Thank you, Dylan and Theresa, for giving me the incredible honor of photographing your special moments from your engagement session to this grand celebration! Goodness, I’ll be dreaming about this day for a long time. <3 Just wait till you see all of the dancing photos! You’ll want to continue your fun dance parties as you did while wedding planning. 🙂 Love you all!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Thanks to the vendors who made this happen!!!
