No way it has been OVER a month since I’ve last written a blog post… Yikes! You see, I have a good reason why as you’ll see below. 😉 It has been a BUSY one!!! Even though I haven’t been 100% present online via social media or blogging, I have been back to work for the past two weeks. 🙂 Lots of editing, emails, and meetings. Between Memorial Day weekend to June 15th (the weekend before Alex and my wedding day), I photographed SIX weddings! WHEW. It was a busy one!!! The past couple weeks included delivering four of the six galleries and now I plan to complete the last two before I dive back into wedding season in August! 🙂 This also means I have a lot of blogging to catch up … So better time to start than now! Taking some time away from my business was so necessary during this transition, but I was happy to see my business was still running while I took some leave. I’m back in action and excited to dive back into my routine! 🙂
Let’s catch up with what happened the past MONTH!!! 🙂

MOCHA MOMENTS
THE SWEETER MEMORIES FROM THIS PAST MONTH
PRE-WEDDING CELEBRATIONS!!!!
Alex came back to VA a week before the big day to enjoy some family/friend time! 🙂 It was the best!! We were impressed by the Nats, but we were also impressed by the amount of alcohol we picked up for the big day! HAHA! Alex’s pop had fun posing with “The Ollie” signature drink. 😉
In the midst of everything going on, we managed to run down to the GORGEOUS Big Spring Farm, a gorgeous venue our friends, Jill and Buddy, run in Lexington, VA! Our incredibly talented friend, Anna, took engagement portraits of us just days before the wedding! 🙂 Even Ollie got to join us!! I cannot wait to share more photos on the blog!!!
This was a little insane… Packing and moving just a couple days before a wedding is NO JOKE. But we did it!!!! A HUGE thank you to everyone who helped, especially Alex’s grandparents who helped load, move about 1,000 miles south, and unload a trailer full of my stuff! Whew!
Everything started to sink in when we got our marriage license!!! And then when it was our rehearsal … Oh my gosh, I couldn’t wait to marry Alex! <3
OUR WEDDING DAY
BEST DAY (so far!)!!!!!! You better believeeeee there is a blog post coming with a TON of photos by the amazing Anna!!! We are so grateful for her friendship and talent!!! <3
Also… This has to be one of my FAVORITE moments of the wedding day!!! HAHAHAHAHA! Our wedding coordinator captured this moment on her phone and I had to share this with you all! 😉 We shook up the bottle and it exploded in Alex’s face! I’m sorry Alex had to experience that, but what a moment! CHEERS! 😉
MINI-MOON TIME!!!!
The entire car ride down to Charleston … “WE ARE MARRRRRRIED!” Haha! We had the best time wandering around the beautiful city together!!!
Our Mini-Moon trip went by wayyyyy too fast because soon enough, it was time to move my stuff down to his home in Florida! But we are looking forward to our honeymoon trip to THAILAND in October!!!! AH!!!!
FLORIDA LIFE
“YAY!!!” was my first thought as we crossed the threshold … BUT THEN … As soon as we walked inside, boxes and furniture from my homemade it almost impossible to walk around! HAHA! Reality hit hard that it was time to settle!
But we didn’t get much of a chance to unpack before we had to dive back into obligations. SO proud of my hubby!!!! <3
Just days after moving to Florida, I drove back to Virginia to see HUGH JACKMAN in concert, thanks to my sweet sister!!!! Amanda surprised us with INCREDIBLE tickets!!! I even got to run up to the stage and shake his hand! So fun!!! I don’t know how I’ll ever be able to top that Christmas gift!
Then… After very minimal sleep and a 14-hour drive back to Florida, I was finally HOME. <3 Ollie is a little too obsessed with Alex. HAHA! The right photo is him every time Alex leaves or is about to walk in. Gosh, I love my boys!!!
We have been receiving a ton of gifts from family and friends and we are SOOOOOO grateful!!!! It is so nice seeing things around our home and be reminded of that particular person. <3 I still need to sit down and write thank you cards … Ohhh lawdy. That will take some time! HAHA! Lots of coffee!
Speaking of COFFEE!!!!! Oh man, I just want to rave about one of our favorite vendors from our wedding day — Brick Wall Coffee Bar! We had the SWEETEST baristas/friends serve made to order coffee! Everyone raved about them and we still rave about them today and plan to forever!!! I will have to write more about them because they deserve all of the recognition! <3 Love you, Ashley and Chantelle!!! To all of my wedding couples — You MUST hire them!!!! I’m being serious!!! You won’t be disappointed!!! Also, speaking of gifts, they surprised Alex and I with our customized menu from our wedding and we now have it on display next to our Ninja coffee maker! 🙂
We had our first visitors! My parents came down just in time to see the Blue Angels show and explore my new home with Alex! 🙂
They even got to see a little hurricane action from afar! Haha!
Alex and I took them to some of our favorite touristy spots like McQuires and The Gulf! Fun experiences for anyone who comes to visit. 🙂 I cannot wait for more visitors!!!!
Alex’s schedule is starting to get crazy between working nights and other time-consuming rotations, but I’m so glad we were able to take some time together and enjoy some adventures around 30A and Pensacola! Cannot wait to do more exploring with him over the years ahead. <3
I need to remember to take some time to enjoy the area while we live here!!! So lucky to call this HOME because who knows where the Air Force will take us next! <3
Moving is a little overwhelming and almost seems like it will never end, but when I see little areas like our bedroom start coming together, it motivates me to push forward because it’s worth it! I love seeing the transformation happening around the house. 🙂 Once a bachelor pad and now … it’s our home. <3
ONE MONTH OF BLISS
Happy One Month to my love! Before we know it, we will be celebrating our One Year! <3
Happy Monday, Everyone!!! It feels good to be back in action! <3
