When Cindy got on the phone with me months ago talking about how Matt and her met as well as their EPIC proposal story that happened at an Apple Store (yes, you’ll have to read about it below!), I couldn’t help but think that this couple was one I needed to get to know! And then when I saw their hearts for God on their wedding day, I fell more in love with them!! 🙂 What was so fun about being Matt and Cindy’s wedding photographer was that their wedding happened at the Market at Grelen (the same venue Alex and I tied the knot just a couple weeks after their big day!)! So the months leading up to June, we got together for coffee and email dates to talk about ideas. Loved that!!! But honestly, seeing everything come together on the day of was even more beautiful than I had imagined!!! I was blown away with the vision they executed. <3
So, Matt and Cindy. They both met at a young adult networking event where they both have different stories of how they met. Both funny perspectives, and gave everyone a good laugh during the ceremony! But what really caught my attention was Matt’s creativity when it came to how he asked for Cindy’s hand in marriage. Because he works in IT work, he was able to use his talent and created a virtual reality game through a simulator using Cindy’s favorite cat cartoon at an Apple Store! So clever!! When she got to the end of the game, she took off the simulator and found Matt on one knee! So creative!!! I know the amount of work and effort he put into that proposal will carry forth in the future of their marriage. Together, they are incredibly sweet, hard-working, and have hearts for the Lord. With their faith in God, their future will be as bright as can be!!! <3 Check out their beautiful day below!!!
MATT & CINDY’S WEDDING DAY
Gosh, I love this venue! I might be a little biased too. 😉 I met with Cindy and the girls first before wandering across the way to find Matt and the bros hanging out. I fell in loveee with Cindy’s vision and details for their wedding day — AND THAT DRESS. Oh my gosh. Cindy said it was meant to be when she stumbled across it at a sample show. When she stepped into her blush fairytale gown, she wore it like a true princess! So classy and elegant. <3 Paired with the dainty Badgley Mischka heels, it was clear she thought through every detail because I loved how it played off the top of her dress!
I loved how their parents admired Matt and Cindy after they got dressed. Reality sank in that their babes were getting married! Matt’s mom might have squeezed his cheeks (don’t hate me for posting a photo below — It’s precious!), but it was just the start of a day filled with LOVE.

Matt and Cindy, along with their besties braved the rain to take photos outside. 🙂 I loved the purple color tones with the GORGEOUS florals!!! I kept awing over Cindy’s beautiful, lush bouquet!!! Everyone looked so beautiful!!!! And I love that Matt chose a different shade of grey for his suit. He rocked the look!!!
Finally!!! It was time to get HITCHED!!!! Matt came in with STYLE. Actually, his crew of men came in with sunglasses so everyone cheered and clapped as they made their entrance. HA! So fun!!!
When Cindy came in with her blusher veil overhead, my eyes filled up with tears. She looked STUNNING! I mean, who would think otherwise?! She made her entrance into the cozy greenhouse to her husband grinning from ear to ear with her father by her side. After she was handed off, their friend came up to sing “Holy Spirit.” It was a beautiful moment to praise God and soak in the moment. 🙂 Their ceremony became personable when their officiant shared some stories of Matt and Cindy about how they met and what they think about each other. HA! These two are adorable!!! <3 And after they exchanged heartfelt vows to each other and rings, they were finally pronounced HUSBAND AND WIFE!!!!
After the ceremony and family photos, we ran outside and took photos with their bestie crew!!! 🙂 Love this backdrop!
We took advantage of this time together and ran around the grounds to photograph newlywed portraits! I could’ve photographed Cindy in that dress ALL DAY LONG. They looked amazing!
I mentioned above how much time, care, and attention Cindy and her team put into designing this day. When I saw her head table … My jaw dropped! It was stunning with the VELVET napkins, gold details, and all of the stationery! The menu cards were so fun too!!! But those velvet napkins … I haven’t photographed anything like that before so I was all about it! And the floral installment at the head table was a stunner too with a delicate touch of purple flowers draping from the top. Loved the added touches throughout the room, including the tables named after herbs. 🙂 Appropriate for a nursery venue!!! As well as the succulent escort cards!
This crew was ready to CELEBRATE, including the parents! Haha! So everyone was excited to get the reception started as you can see below. 🙂
Matt and Cindy made their entrance and had a beautiful moment together as everyone cheered for them. They made sure to spend a good amount of time with each other throughout the course of the evening as well as their family/friends. I loved hearing tables yell their names as they wanted photos with them. 🙂 So loved and blessed with a great group of supporters!! Even Matt’s family dog showed some love during the best man speech when the pup made his surprise entrance and howled for Matt and Cindy! 🙂 HAHA! SO CUTE!!!!
When it came time to exchange a little bit of cake, they showed up for a little playful fun. Well, more so on Matt’s end of things. 😉 HAHA! I think he won but Cindy was all smiles!! After some dancing, they gathered some of their troops together for a little sparkler photo op! Great way to end the night — Went by so fast!!!
Thank you, Matt and Cindy, for having me not only document your wedding day but celebrate with you all!! It ended up being a beautiful day because of your beautiful spirits. <3 I’m excited to see where your future takes you and wish you both the very best!!! Cindy, I’m going to miss our catch up dates about our wedding plans! Now, we will have to have newlywed catch up dates! 😉 HA! XOXO!!!
