I am SO excited to be an official Floridian! Just days after Alex and I tied the knot in June, my stuff was moved into our home perfect distance from Destin, Navarre, Pensacola, and 30A beaches. What a DREAM. I never in my wildest dreams thought that a vacation destination would be our home! It’s already working in benefit to my business because I have Virginia couples/families who already want to visit and have beach portraits done. This is definitely the place to make that happen!!! Here in Florida, we have the whitest (and squeakiest ā you have to visit to know what I mean!!) sand in between our toes, the clearest blue water that looks like an endless pool, and sunsets that create the most beautiful glow … To say that I have already fallen in LOVE is an understatement!
Since moving down here about a month ago, I got to photograph my first session of the season. š Michele reached out to me last year when she saw where I was moving to Florida. Rob and Michele were planning a vacation to Pensacola for their anniversary and thought this would be a great opportunity to have updated portraits done on the prettiest beach in Navarre. š The Florida Panhandle area is a very special place because Rob was once stationed here. It was fun catching up with them (since they currently reside in Virginia), and hearing their favorite spots around Pensacola since they know all of the great places to visit. Alex and I recently visited the city for Gallery Night and got to experience the fun hot spots (including The Tin Cow (YUMMM!!!)). You better believe we had a 5-minute conversation about that! š
During our magical time together, I had to pinch myself while soaking in the beautiful atmosphere. While in disbelief that this is my new reality, I couldn’t help but laugh at Ethan running around with his arms in the air excited to photograph on the beach! Haha! He was so enthusiastic and loved chatting about his time at Disney World! Dolphins ā *thumbs up*. Stingrays ā *double thumbs down*. HAHA! But what really made my evening was seeing Ethan alongside taking photos on his parent’s cell phone and mimicking my direction to Rob and Michele! HAHA! *That looks GREAT!* (while chuckling) <= He’s adorable! I loved how into the session he was without any bribery!!! I’ll photograph this family any day because they were excited to be there and were so personable with our time together. I cannot wait to photograph more sessions on the prettiest beaches in America! <3
