Claudia & Peter | Virginia Shenandoah Mountains Maternity Photographer

I loved kicking off my first business trip back to Virginia with this session in the mountains! I love my new Florida home with my love, but my heart and soul is also brought alive in the Shenandoah Mountains. I cannot wait for fall sessions to start soon, but one thing that surprised me when Claudia, Peter, and I met for their maternity portraits was how cool it was on Skyline Drive even on a 90-degree day! It made all of us want to run home to grab our camping gear. Believe me, I was sooooo tempted!! It really surprised me for a “hot” Virginia day, so needless to say, we were happy campers (I wish literally) running around photographing these portraits. This was the first sign that fall is coming soon and I’m ready to pull out everything pumpkin. 🙂 🙂 🙂 Cannot wait!!!

I loved taking the time to get to know this sweet family during our short time together. It turns out they have family in Pensacola, Florida not too far down the Panhandle from where I am! 🙂 I love opportunities when I can photograph family/friends in either Virginia, Florida, or both! So hopefully beach family portraits are in the future. 🙂 The other fun thing I learned while photographing Claudia and Peter is Claudia owns a photography business!!! It made the experience even more humbling that she wanted me to document this exciting time for them, but it was also fun chatting everything about photography. I might be able to talk about that for a little bit. 😉

It was obvious how excited Peter and Claudia were to be first-time parents while photographing them. So sweet!!! I loved that they included their pup, Herman, in these portraits because he is already one proud fur bro. He was ALL smiles and even managed to make silly faces during the session. Haha! He was so cute to photograph with his parents. 🙂 I cannot wait to see all of them holding on to the sweetest little baby soon!!! The time will be here before we know it. <3

Thank you, Claudia and Peter, for meeting me on the beautiful Shenandoah Mountains for your maternity portraits!!! It was the perfect way to kick off the week by getting to know you both throughout our time together. 🙂 You two are going to be the sweetest parents and Herman will make the best fur bro!
