Whew! What a weekend! I was in Virginia for a short trip to stand by my best friend on her wedding day. 🙂 I flew in late last night (Fortunately I made it back in time for a networking event this morning — You’ll see why below.), so I am looking at my to-do list already exhausted but also ready to conquer! Ironically, I’m reading a book (Present over Perfect) to find ways to not allow myself to let my to-do list run my life. But since I’m not all the way through the book yet means I have some time before I start a healthier mentality towards my tasks, right? 😉 HA! On an exciting note … I’m CLOSING on my house this week!!!! EEeeeppp!!! There’s a lot going on this month and next month, but I cannot wait to experience these adventures with you all! <3 Check out the highs and lows from this past week below!

MY BEST FRIEND IS MARRIED!!!!

LIZ AND LUKE ARE MARRIED!!!! It was a beautiful … BEAUTIFUL … day! They got married on top of a mountain to say “I do!” and then had a reception where Dirty Dancing was filmed at Mountain Lake Lodge in Virginia!!! SO cool!!! It was a very go with the flow kind of day with hiking down the mountain for shots of bourbon after the ceremony and ending with s’mores by the campfire. 🙂 I loved that we stayed in cabins too to really experience the venue! It was “so them!” I was excited to stand by Liz as her Maid of Honor and I have to say that it’s a lot of work to take on that kind of responsibility, but I couldn’t be happier how everything came together for them!!! <3 At the end of the day, we all had the best time!!! CONGRATS, bestie!!!!!

There’s Penny’s cabin (the green and white building) from Dirty Dancing!!! Wish we had more time to enjoy the venue! I’ll have to go back. 🙂

TRAVEL DELAY

Oh my gosh … Yesterday proved that traveling isn’t always as smooth as we hope. I’ve experienced delays before, but I’ve always made my connecting flight, except yesterday. After American Airlines delayed my flight from 4:45 p.m. to 7:46 p.m., I found myself wondering how I was going to make it home last night. Fortunately, they put me on 7:45 p.m. flight with Delta and I made it back to Florida safe and sound! 🙂 Just a long day after arriving at the airport at 2:30 p.m. BUT I finished editing an engagement session AND some special portraits from Liz and Luke’s wedding. 🙂 So I guess on the flipside the delays gave me dedicated time to accomplish those tasks to get me ahead on my workload! YES!!!
