With Alex being in the Air Force brings an entirely new community to my life. I’ve met new friends around the Destin, Florida area not just through his work, but through networking groups as well. When Alex and the first-year residents first moved to Florida from all over the country last year, it seemed easy to make time to hang out with everyone. Now that we are in the second year of the program, it’s not quite the same as that first month (wish it was!!!), but I’m appreciative of the efforts that have been made to stay connected as the months fly by!! 🙂 One girl I had the pleasure of connecting with was Bonnie! 🙂 We met while a group of us were casually hanging out at the beach enjoying “The Ollie” drink and playing beach games. Bonnie was as sweet as can be and loved Jesus, so we immediately hit it off! Since that first meet up, she met the love of her life and got engaged!!! I remember first hearing about this “Kyle guy” after she started seeing him. Bonnie was BEAMING with smiles and giggles whenever his name was brought up in a conversation. We knew something was special about him and all of us couldn’t wait to meet him!
One weekend, a group of us got together to hang out and while we were playing indoor cornhole, I casually approached Kyle and asked him about Bonnie. That same beaming smile I saw on Bonnie’s face a while back was reflected on his when he mentioned that they were talking about the future together. Naturally being in the wedding industry, I got SO excited hearing that their relationship was going to the next level! Obviously, we all approved of Kyle and thought he fit right in with the group!! 🙂 It wasn’t long after that conversation when Bonnie spread the news that she was engaged!!!! We were so excited for both of them! I especially loved seeing their faith in God’s plan because there were so many “what ifs” when looking at the future of their careers. I know He will take care of them every step of the way. 🙂 🙂 🙂
Last week, we met at the beautiful beach of Navarre to photograph and celebrate their engagement! 🙂 It was a very special time too because Kyle was visiting from his new home in Hawaii! Incredible. I couldn’t imagine a better way for them to spend their limited time together than by taking photos! Now their love is forever captured to hold on to, especially when 4,000 miles stand in between them. I’m excited to see what happens after the residency program is done because I know this is only the beginning of something amazing! <3
Thank you, Kyle and Bonnie, for having me photograph this new chapter of your lives!!! What a beautiful start to forever!!! <3 I’m excited where your futures lead you as you put all of your faith in God’s hands. We know He prepared you for this adventure! Alex and I couldn’t be happier for you both! CONGRATS!!!!
CONGRATS!!!!!
