Coffee Talk Mondays

HAPPY FALL!!!!! One of my favorite seasons! <3 Although, fall in Florida is going to look different from the beautiful fall foliage in Virginia. Should be interesting to live in a warm state during the Holidays! But I’m actually here in Virginia just in time to acknowledge that it’s fall. HA! I just finished my drive this morning and will be here for a quick week while I take care of business and while my mom recovers from ankle surgery this morning. Next week … THAILAND with my love! <3 This week will fly by!!! Let’s catch up with the good and the not so good things that happened this past week. 🙂

MOCHA MOMENTS
THE SWEETER MEMORIES FROM THIS PAST MONTH

1
MY LOVE.

Alex somehow manages to keep me in line. I say somehow because my schedule tends to fill up QUICKLY. I’m no guru when it comes to balancing my life and I wish I knew the simple answer. But God blessed me with a man who not only UNDERSTANDS but who is PATIENT. <3 Until I find that he snuck this on my to-do list for the week. 🙂 HAHA! Gosh, I love him and cannot wait for all of the snugs when we leave for our honeymoon to Thailand next week!!!

SETTLING IN

As you can imagine, I’m still settling into the house. I’m loving how personal it’s becoming just by filling some frames with photos!!! As a photographer, I can say full heartedly how important it is to PRINT YOUR PHOTOS!!! 🙂 Otherwise, they will just sit on your computer/phone which isn’t doing those precious memories justice.

Also, I had to include this in the blog post … Quest has PIZZA?! YESSSSSS!!!!! This girl was happy on our Friday pizza date night!! 🙂 By the way … I’m SO behind on the times, but Alex recently got me into the show, Lost! I’M ADDICTED. I cannot wait to watch it once we get back from Thailand … Although, it might not have been the best show to watch before flying to the other side of the world. 😉 HA!

OH, MY SWEET COUPLES!!!! <3

As Ollie and I made the hike up to Virginia yesterday, I scheduled a pit stop in Raleigh to photograph one sweet couple. <3 I had too much fun with them that I ended up staying the night after a yummy Mexican dinner and great conversations. I was reminded once again why I feel so fortunate why I LOVE my job!!!! I cannot wait to go through their photos and photograph their Pippin Hill wedding this December! <3 Also, Ollie may as well moved in… He didn’t show his best manners after taking their pup’s toys and sprawled out on their furniture. HAHA!

ESPRESSO MOMENTS
THE BITTER MEMORIES FROM THIS PAST WEEK

1
I. HATE. SHOTS.

I’m not afraid to admit that I HATE shots. I’ve never liked them and never will. But I really thought I would put mind over matter and kick some shots booty last Friday as Alex and I prepare for our vacation. Except … my confidence soon deflated after the first injection went into my arm. I immediately turned white, my ears rang, and my body went numb. I’m glad I didn’t faint, but I was definitely almost there … If anyone has any strategies on how to overcome this, I would LOVE to hear them!!!

YOU CANNOT TRUST EVERY AUTOBODY SHOP…

When it comes to taking care of my year-old CRV, I only trust my car dealership. Except now that I’m in Florida, I had to find an alternative shop for the first time. As I prepared for my trip to Virginia, I ran by what I thought was a highly rated express oil shop in my town. I was about an hour down the road when I heard a bad scratching noise. I thought it was coming from a tractor-trailer nearby until I realized it was MY CAR. After an inspection, I found that the undercarriage metal plate was only held up by ZIP TIES. The oil shop lost the screws and thought this would work … 🙁 I’ve heard of autobody shop nightmares but I thought a very simple oil change would be dummy-proof. I’m so glad it was worse and that I made it to Virginia with my car safe and sound after another autobody shop properly screwed it back in place!

I hope everyone had a safe and relaxing weekend!!! Happy FALL!!! <3
