I’m currently typing this blog post at my parent’s house in Virginia, but tomorrow, I’ll be home sweet home with my Alex until April! YAY! This will be the longest stretch of time we have spent together as husband and wife and I. CANNOT. WAIT. It has been a long time coming with many days living out of a suitcase since June. I cherish the memories I’ve had in Virginia photographing the best couples while seeing family and friends, but I’m ready for some nesting time with my husband. <3 So I’m excited to settle down, rest/recover before the spring 2020 wedding season, and take this winter season to organize and work on behind the scenes projects. 🙂 Just the past few weeks, I’ve already selected my favorite 2019 photos, updated my website (WOOHH!!), transferred my client guides to Honeybook so I can shut down my old blog, submitted some weddings for potential features, prepped my 2020 wedding notes, and more! I love the hustle, and I look forward to seeing what changes happen this new year!

While I was in Florida for about three weeks, Ollie and I developed a routine together like snuggles in the morning while reading and taking daily walks around the neighborhood. It turns out that he really loves me … But still, not quite as much as he loves Alex. 😉 Haha! But that’s okay because I soaked in the time Ollie surprised me like the photo of him lying completely on me! HAHA! 🙂

I’m so grateful to spend dinner time with Alex the past few weeks … until the time comes when he has the night shift. But I’m taking advantage of our time together. 🙂 I guess Ollie is too — They are currently “bro-ing” out this weekend while I’m in VA for a business trip, so I know he must be a happy pup!

It was a busy weekend filled with a wedding and two maternity sessions, but I managed to squeeze in some time to see some of my JMU college roommates and also celebrate a very special Birthday girl with Alex’s family!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BG!

FREEZINGGGGG TEMPS IN VIRGINIA

OH MY GOODNESS. I did NOT pack enough layers with me. I walked outside yesterday morning and rolled up my sleeves because the weather was so lovely… Until the evening hit. I jumped out of my car to stand out in 32-degree temps for an hour and a half photographing two maternity sessions. It wouldn’t have been so bad if it wasn’t for the wind, but GOODNESS. My hands were on FIRE! I’ll gladly pack my things and fly back to Florida tomorrow. 😉 Peace out, VA!
