February. For REAL? This winter season is going to FLY by so quickly. I just know it! Which I guess isn’t so bad for those who love the warmer temps (like me!). It’s already warming up so I’m staying hopeful that means spring will come early. 🙂 And if you didn’t hear, Groundhog Day was yesterday and Phil didn’t see his shadow! So thanks to a groundhog, we might have an early spring. HA! What a funny tradition.

I hope everyone enjoyed the Superbowl weekend! I wore my Redskins shirt just dreaming that day will eventually come for us… HA! Besides yesterday’s festivities, this past week was productive. I’ve been working behind the scenes fixing my workflow to simplify. It’s almost like starting over — The time I pour into these systems now will pay off later. 🙂 I’m excited to see the benefits so I can use my time to work on other things!! Although, I’m pausing this project to work on taxes this week … BLAH! The worstttttt. HAHA! Anyways, check out what happened this past week! 🙂

AEROBATHON!!!

Alex and I are SO lucky to have the military benefit of free gym access! And I loveeee the free classes! On Saturday morning, the trainers hosted an “Aerobathon” where we tackled spin, Zumba, power pump, HIIT, abs on fire, and yoga for 3-straight hours. It was the perfect way to kick off the weekend (especially before the Superbowl food) while keeping my health goal in mind! 🙂

EYE APPOINTMENT

On Thursday, I turned into my mom from the 90s… Oversized sweaters, leggings, and big glasses. HA! I was nervous going into my eye appointment not really knowing what to expect, but they told me that everything is great!!! But to help with astigmatism while doing computer work and driving, I should wear updated prescription glasses. I’m actually excited to get them on Thursday!!!

SUPERBOWL SUNDAY!

Ollie and I had one day with Alex (yesterday), and he took full advantage of that time! Ollie basically laid on top of him all day long (as you can see below). HAHA! He even enjoyed some pre-game time before the SuperBowl! 😉 JK. He didn’t actually drink the Corona, but we thought it was pretty hilarious that he let us do anything while he hung out. And speaking of the SuperBowl, the game and the half-time show were very entertaining!! I want to know how I can look like J Lo when I’m 50!

WHERE SHOULD WE ADVENTURE NEXT?

Alex and I have a 5-day weekend coming up over Valentine’s Day/President’s Day weekend and we would LOVE your input where we should visit? We aren’t looking to exhaust ourselves, but we love checking out new places. Name a place that you think we should check out somewhere between New Orleans and Miami (we ideally want warmer temps)! 🙂 We want to hear from you so let us know what you think!!

DISTANCE DOES NOT STAND IN BETWEEN FRIENDSHIPS

Thank goodness for technology. Although, technology can be so frustrating at times! I’m speaking from experience because I have a phone that continues to freeze on me — I’m hanging in there! 😉 I got to hang out on the phone with these two friends, Liz and Brandy, over the weekend. Distance might stand in between us, but I’m grateful technology keeps us close!

80-HOUR WORK WEEKS

I miss my husband. This isn’t necessarily the crazy season for me, but it is for Alex. I’m so proud of him for working SO hard because 80-hour workweeks are not easy. I’m looking forward to a normal routine after this week so we can enjoy our mornings/evenings together!! 🙂 🙂 🙂
