It’s Wednesday and I’m posting a “Coffee Talk Mondays” post… It might not be correct, but today is my Monday as I catch up from a long weekend away. 🙂 Meaning, I’ll be spending a lot of my day behind my computer while I get everything in order. This morning was a real struggle getting out of bed at 5:45 a.m. But I know that consistency will get me back into my routine!! I think my body still wants to be in vacation mode with Alex. 😉

FINALLY … A WORKING PHONE!
A part of me wanted to put this post under “espresso moments” because this wasn’t our fondest memory from the past weekend. We spent a good bit of time in the Tampa Apple Store, BUT I’m soooo relieved to have a phone again!!! Conveniently three months after my one year warranty expired on my iPhone X a year ago, my phone started freezing. It progressively got worse and I found myself frustratingly resetting my phone every few minutes. I saw it as a way to not attach myself to technology (hey, I needed to look at the bright side!). However, it seriously tested my patience when I needed to get things done or even simply respond to a text message. My phone decided to end it on Wednesday and the Apple Store techs said it wasn’t worth fixing. Now that I have a new phone, you better believe I got the protection to ensure this won’t happen again. Haha!

BUSCH GARDENS!!!
Now … THIS was a highlight from this past weekend!!! While Alex and I were in Tampa, we decided to add some thrills to our adventure and go to Busch Gardens! I was so unfamiliar with the park and rides, but when I heard about the Sheikra roller coaster that dropped 90 degrees, I was certain I was going to skip that ride. Moments later, I found myself saying “let’s do it” to Alex… I love roller coasters, but I’m more of a twist, turn, and flip kind of thriller! So this was NOT on my radar. HAHA! But I did it! My favorite ride was the Cheetah Hunt!! It’s a long wait, but I loved the 0 to 60 mph takeoff!!! It was worth the lines. 🙂 Also, Alex and I REALLY enjoyed the zoo inside the amusement park. What a unique idea!!! Every time we got off a ride, we were able to take a break and admire some cute animals. 🙂

MY GRANDPARENTS <3
On our way to Tampa, we made an overnight pitstop to see my grandparents and family. <3 Oh, this made our weekend!! They are a beautiful example of everything we want to be in our years to come. I’m so grateful for them and our time together!
Also, if you cannot tell, I think Ollie has a girlfriend. 😉 Our sweet dog sitter sent us this photo while we were away. This made me so happy!!!

TAMPA!!
We decided to spend a long weekend in Tampa, Florida this past weekend. 🙂 It was so easy going, relaxing, and adventurous! There’s so much we want to experience and see in our short lives so we are tackling it one state and city at a time. 🙂

THE VACATION CONTINUED…
Everyone jokes that we need a vacation after a vacation, well, we decided to do just that! Alex and I took yesterday off to enjoy a day of rest while straightening up the house for another week of work. We each finished a book and enjoyed a bottle of rose from our wedding. 🙂 To say we didn’t want it to end is an understatement. I love doing life with my best friend!!!

THE BITTER MEMORIES FROM THIS PAST WEEK

TECHNOLOGY
I changed my mind … This post does deserve to be under the “espresso moments” too!!! HA! Technology can be so frustrating and expensive. Sorry, Apple Store, but this was not my favorite moment from this past weekend. Haha!
I hope everyone enjoys their short work week!! Happy Hump Day!
