Now that I covered some of my favorite lifestyle portraits from 2019, I’m continuing the “Best of 2019” series today with Florida + Virginia engagement ring photos!!! Get ready for some eye candy! I had the privilege of photographing many couples engagement portraits in Florida and Virginia this past year. And during each session, I love to feature the engagement ring in some way. š
I remember the anticipation waiting for Alex to propose, and when he got down on one knee and opened the ring box, I was in complete shock! I dreamt of that moment and knew very early on that he was my future husband. š Every time I admire my ring, I am reminded of where it all started. I love that a simple photograph can do the same thing too!
Isn’t it beautiful that every ring is unique and different? The cut, shape, style, and history says so much about the bride and groom. Some couples love the simplicity of a classic solitaire ring while some love COLOR!
Besides the beautiful outward appearance of a ring, each stone holds a story of where it all began. That story is very special and personal. Speaking of a very personal story, one of my couples decided to use the bride’s grandmother’s ring as their engagement ring ā I cannot even imagine how special that is to look down every day and not only be reminded of their promise, but also her grandparent’s promise to each other.
Even though a ring is valued for many things (it’s worth as well as the couple’s story), the symbolism of the ring is what holds the most value. Devotion and eternal love. That is worth celebrating this occasion! š
