Coffee Talk Monday

Coffee Talk Mondays

I don’t know about you, but I feel like I’m living a real-life Groundhog Day. HA! Yet, somehow, I have new content to share from each Coffee Talk Monday post! 🙂 But you can count on seeing weekly updates with my furry friends, creative projects, and encouraging words during this slow season. I hope you don’t mind. 🙂

Check out what this past week looked like below!!

THE SWEETER MEMORIES FROM THIS PAST WEEK

TIME TO GET CREATIVE AGAIN!

Well… The coming months are looking VERY different than I ever imagined. As of now, things won’t pick back up until July. And with no beach to fill my “slower season,” I’m starting to get creative again! I’m looking forward to sharing some new things I’m working on!!!

GET OUTSIDE BUT “STAY HOME”

I know I’ve said it before, but I’m really trying to get the word out. For your mental health, GET OUTSIDE! 🙂 Soak up some vitamin D, go for a leisure walk or run around your neighborhood, or even go for a drive in your car (if you’re allowed to be driving because I know certain parts of the country is different). Regardless, as much chaos as it sounds from the news, we must take care of ourselves first! 🙂 So I’m encouraging each and every one of you to think about what that might mean for you. <3

Also, I just started reading Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens with some friends — I’m only 40-pages in, but goodness, the writing is beautiful and so uniquely descriptive! I cannot wait to read more!

HAPPY NATIONAL DOCTOR’S DAY!

I look at this left photo below and cannot believe that it was TWO years ago!!!! Boy, the time has flown by and so much has happened in two years. I’m so proud of him, especially during this weird season! Fortunately, for us in northwest Florida, things aren’t too crazy. But the hospital is starting to prepare for a wave to hit us in the coming weeks… I’m currently praying for all men and women who are out there working through this pandemic. <3

OUR FAITH WILL GET US THROUGH THIS!

I find so much encouragement, joy, and peace when I open my Bible and my “Jesus Calling” daily devotional every morning. This world is CONSUMED in negative news articles. I’m currently practicing discipline in my morning routine to not reach for my phone to see what is the newest info regarding the pandemic. I challenge you to do the same. 🙂 Start the day with the TRUTH in mind each morning and you will find more peace throughout your day.

HOME EXERCISING WITH THE DOWN DOG APPS!

I have to admit, when I first heard the gyms were closing down, I wasn’t sure what I was going to do. Anyone else struggles with finding the motivation to work out from home? I found myself addicted to my daily HIIT gym classes… But reality set in that the gym might be closed longer than we originally thought. And exercise is SO important physically and mentally, so I was ready to take on the new challenge!

Alex introduced me to an app called, Down Dog! Down Dog currently has a promotion for healthcare workers (FREE until July!)! They have different apps ranging from Yoga, HIIT, Barre, Yoga for Beginners, and even a 7 Minute Workout! I’m also making time to run around the neighborhood/park and go on long walks with Ollie. Despite not having my typical HIIT instructor kicking my booty at the gym, I’m finding a way to make it work in the meantime. 🙂

ESPRESSO MOMENTS
THE BITTER MEMORIES FROM THIS PAST WEEK

1
THIS WORLD NEEDS POSITIVE VIBES. <3

Typically, I like to share the “not so great moments” from this past week. Because the reality is that life isn’t always A+ PERFECT. And I think it’s important for me to always share challenges because I’m human and I want to be relatable to you too! But at this moment, I decided that I want to hold off any negativity at this time because we need more positive vibes in this world right now! <3 I’ll share a little bit of truth next week on the blog … and it has something to do with my phone time! XOXO!

Happy Coffee Talk Monday, everyone!!
