Happy National Dog Day

Happy National Dog Day

Happy National Dog Day!!! I am taking a “paws” (you see what I did there?) from sessions and dedicating this blog feature to Ollie and all dogs out there. <3 Dogs come in all shapes and sizes, but they really are a man’s best friend! Or I guess … man is a dog’s best friend! Alex can tell you first-hand too!!! Our dog, Oliver (aka “Ollie”), is OBSESSED with him!! If you couldn’t tell already from the past Coffee Talk Monday posts. 😉 HAHA! I really thought that with me being pregnant would change the dynamic… But Ollie either doesn’t care or has no clue that a little boy is going to steal the attention very soon!!! HA!

We are so grateful to have Ollie in our lives because he has been the best thing for our little family! Maybe not camping in a two-person tent in the middle of July … But we will put that memory to the side. 😉 Otherwise, we adore our big snuggler, adventurer, and lover!!! And, boy… is he a big lover. Whether he comes across strangers, acquaintances, or familiar faces, and of all different ages, he is there for the head rubs and love! Haha! He might be a big goober with his tongue hanging off to the side of his mouth, but he’s a charmer. 😉 I cannot wait to see him take on the role of a big brother when his little brother debuts in December! <3

Happy National Dog Day, to our sweet boy, Ollie!!

And to all dogs out there!!!

Obviously, Ollie has been a big part of Alex and my life. Knowing the love we share for him is something I love to highlight with my clients. Dogs bring so much JOY into our lives. <3 And whether families/couples chose to have their furry best friend(s) in a photoshoot or on their wedding day, I want to make sure they are included. 🙂 And… if a dog decides to pee on a lamp post in the middle of the session… Or jump into the driver seat of the car… They create a little spontaneity and humor that is worth documenting! Besides the humor, I also love the sweet and tender moments with doggie kisses and snuggles. 🙂 I know for Alex and Ollie, there’s never enough of that! It’s sweet seeing these precious memories of my couples/families with their furry best friends because that’s something they will cherish for a lifetime. <3

Planning on including your pup during a session or your wedding? I have a post with 5 tips for photographing dogs HERE!!! 🙂
