Dillon & Ginny | Bluemont Vineyard, Virginia Boho Wedding Photographer

You should be a little familiar with these two because I just featured their DC engagement session on the blog yesterday! 🙂 Dillon and Ginny planned their big day at Bluemont Vineyard just two days after we met, and I was honored to be their wedding photographer!!! Not only are they are cute as can be (including their pup, Piper!), but I loved seeing their boho-chic theme come alive!! It blended so well with the rustic vineyard vibe. 🙂 The fall colors came alive through the florals and the views from atop of the mountain. One of my favorite features of the venue is that it is situated on the top of the mountain in Bluemont, Virginia! I don’t want to spoil too much in this introduction, but it was a picture-perfect day for this sweet-as-can-be couple!!! 🙂 Just see how pretty it was below!!!

A BOHO CHIC WEDDING AT BLUEMONT VINEYARD, VIRGINIA.

Prepping for Forever.

We met in the quaint bridal suite at Bluemont Vineyard on a beautiful October day! We could hardly wait to get outside … Not just to enjoy the fall weather, but because the first look was about to happen after Ginny slipped on her Louvienne dress! So her beautiful dress delicately hung on the brass hanger awaiting the time for her to slip it on. When that moment arrived, Ginny’s mother and sister were there to help her.

While Ginny was getting dressed, Dillon was next door at the brewery, enjoying some “bro” time with the groomsmen! He gave each of his guys a personalized baseball cup — A great gift idea for those who love baseball. 🙂 During their hang out time, they had a barber grooming them so they were fresh and clean shaved. 🙂 I love that they got pampered since it’s typically just the girls who have hair done the day of! Naturally, it didn’t take much time for them to get ready and head over to anticipate Ginny’s reveal! Before she walked outside to see her soon-to-be-hubby, she had a special moment with her father and bridesmaids that left everyone in AWE! I mean… Just look at her!!! I love that she kept her look timeless and classy! She saved her veil for the ceremony, but I could hardly wait to see Dillon’s reaction outside for the first look.

The First Look.

Dillon was so nervous, excited, anxious to see Ginny! After waiting for her to come down and see him, I could hardly wait for them to finally enjoy a little time together before the celebration kicked off! Ginny tapped him on the shoulder and he turned around in disbelief! Dillon wiped his eyes while Ginny twirled around in her dress. 🙂 I think she loved it too! Hehe!

The Best Friends.

Dillon kept it simple for the men and had them in a classic blue suit paired with brown leather. My favorite combo!! The girls mixed it up by having different styles of dresses! Most of them wore a solid light pink while two of them had a fun print to add texture. By keeping it simple and timeless (like Ginny’s dress), they were able to add color through the bouquets. Florals are always a safe way to be bold and colorful, and I love how everything balanced out between the suits and the dresses!!

The Ceremony.

The theme really came alive in the ceremony decor, as you’ll see below! The view is already beautiful, but the added elements of the pampas grass were the key ingredient! Event Studio and the venue coordinator put together this beautiful scenery that really captivated the guests as they walked into the space. I also love the mustard-colored vases that held the pampas grass!!! So fun!

Dillon’s eye’s glossed over when he saw his beautiful bride for the second reveal of the day. The anticipation with the music and family/friends around heightened the moment as Ginny made her way down the aisle. After she arrived, there was a smile of relief from both of them like they were secretly saying to each other that they made it to this moment!! After all of the 2020 unknowns … and after YEARS of waiting to get to this day … they were finally going to tie the knot! 🙂 But before the “kiss,” they got to share/exchange their vows. Not only were they sweet, but funny, and sentimental! They also welcomed up their parents to help them seal the wine box with letters and a bottle of wine, which is was sweet to include them! Soon after, they KISSED and celebrated while walking down the aisle as husband and wife!

Newlywed Moments.

Newlywed portraits during the golden hour?! SIGN ME UP!!! And you all must remember Piper from their engagement session!!! She even joined in too! 🙂 Naturally, I have soooo many favorites between the hydrangea scenery, the vines, and THAT VIEW! YES!!! And it wasn’t just the scenery that came alive during the golden hour — After all, Ginny and Dillon had the official “Mr. and Mrs.” title and were SO excited! This sweet time together was a great way to celebrate!!! And gosh… they were glowing!

The Details.

These details dressed up Bluemont Vineyard beautifully without taking away the natural beauty of the venue!! Thanks to the incredible vendor team for putting this together because the boho-chic vibe came together!!! The talented, Event Studio created some fun eye candy with the ladder hanging over the head table with geometric gold lanterns. Greenery draped from the ladder creating an artistic centerpiece for the room! Just like the girl’s dresses, florals were used to add color without it being too overpowering. 🙂 The gold geometric theme carried from table to table with the use of the table numbers and mirrors. And of course, Dillon and Ginny had to incorporate their love for wine with the use of cork seat assignments! 🙂

To make their dessert table their own, they decided to not go with the traditional wedding cake. Instead, Dillon and Ginny had a personal cake for them to cut (privately) and then had favorite little treats for their guests to enjoy! Apple cider donuts? How FUN is that?! But what really caught my attention were the custom cookies Ginny’s mom made! She even made Piper in cookie form! 🙂 So cute!!!

The Reception.

Family and friends were ready to party!!! But before they could run to the dance floor, they had some events take place … and, oh yeah, the amazing food by Savoir Fare!!! After all, everyone needs to fuel up before getting down on the dance floor. 🙂 After loved ones shared their toasts and Ginny surprised her father with a birthday cake to celebrate his day too, Dillon and Ginny shared their first dance. They twirled, swayed back and forth, and even managed to show off some fun dance moves (Dillon). HA!

After spending a special dance with their parents, the dance floor officially opened! Ian Lade didn’t hold back either keeping the dance floor occupied every minute of the night listening to all of the classics, including Backstreet Boys!! 🙂 I was singing along as I took photos of everyone having fun… and I SO wanted to join in!!! HA! But Dillon pulled off some dance moves that got the crowd laughing! Especially when it seemed like Dillon and Chas (the officiant) were in sync dancing together like they had practiced. 😉 Good thing they had a videographer to document that action too!!! HA! It was a fun-filled evening, and I love looking through these memories reliving the events all over again. <3

Thank You!!

THANK YOU, Dillon and Ginny, for having me as your wedding photographer and document these very precious moments at Bluemont Vineyard for you all!!! I loved seeing your vision brought to life! But what I loved seeing goes beyond the wedding day. Your love is kind, tender, and sweet!! I’m so excited to see where your future takes your marriage!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Thanks to the vendors who made this happen!!
