It’s an exciting time for Lu and Erin right now because they are just DAYS away from tying the knot at Great Marsh Estate!!!! What a perfect time to debut this sweet and FUN couple on the blog!!! 🙂 During one of my last trips to Virginia, we met up in Washington DC to take engagement portraits. And despite the early morning rise, Erin and Lu have energy and chemistry that is super photogenic … Clearly if you look through the photos below!!! 🙂 Gah, I can ONLY imagine how much fun it will be to photograph them on their wedding day! Together, they are one sweet and darling couple … not to mention, GOOD LOOKING … and I am so honored to be a part of their special day. <3 Also… Anyone else a Nationals fan? Erin was a member at the gym where I worked and at some point we added each other on Instagram. She came in to workout one night and I introduced myself, “hi, I’m Luis” and she replied “Ha! I know, we awkwardly follow each other on social media.” We later met outside of the gym on a night I almost decided to stay home. It was a night with friends and coworkers at a bar in dc. I arrived late and ended up sitting next to Erin and started having a conversation right away. I’ll never forget her first words when I sat down next to her and she said, “Well you smell delicious.” I felt like I might have a chance…
HOW LU PROPOSED TO ERIN

Fast forward to one week shy of a year after I gave him that chance, we decided to celebrate our anniversary at a cabin in the Shenendoah. Unbeknownst to me, Lu had big plans for our weekend and decided to surprise me on our hike that early afternoon. I should have known when he was wearing the EXACT same hiking outfit he was wearing on the first hike we ever went on. Hindsight is 20-20. We took our dog Lola on an adventure up Humpback Rock and after a quick lunch Lu started reminiscing about the last year together. It wasn’t until he got to the “..so I called your parents..” that I fully put together what was happening. And just like that with a couple of fellow hikers as our witnesses, he asked and I said yes.
