As I was driving to Ryan and Brittany’s wedding, I had all of the excited butterflies in my stomach. Sure, it was the middle of the wedding season, but this wedding at The Manor House was different because it was my first (and hopefully many more) wedding in Colorado! Their wedding exceeded my expectations, as you’ll see below. With 360 views and an incredible venue with perfect weather, I don’t think they could’ve asked for a better day to get married! And we took full advantage of it. 🙂
Normally, I meet my couples in person before the wedding day, and photograph an engagement session. In this case, we met for the first time on their wedding day!! Full disclosure, they’ve been so busy flipping a house in a different state (I cannot WAIT to hear about/see their fun projects!!). But I was so surprised how easy going they were in front of the camera! Let alone I feel like they are the same person — Very calm and collected! They were down for anything, which made photographing them super fun and easy!
When it came to their wedding party, they didn’t have just the typical “Maid of Honor” and “Best Man.” They also included a “Man of Honor” and “Best Woman.” Love that they went outside of the box to include special people in their life. Everyone (including family) was so sweet and FUN and helped make Ryan and Brittany’s wedding day run smoothly and photograph so beautifully!
The Ceremony + Party!!!
Their wedding ceremony took place where guests were surrounded by sweeping mountain views and the altar was perfectly centered with the Denver skyline in the distance! Incredible! After the sweetest ceremony officiated by Brittany’s stepfather, everyone gathered in front of the manor house for a big group photo. I love any opportunity to do this for my bride and groom!! But one of my favorite parts of the day was when we gathered for family photos and bunnies were hopping around in the background of their photos. Brittany mentioned that bunnies reminded her of her grandmother and that she was there in spirit for the family photos. <3 It brought tears to my eyes!
When it was time for the party, we had to make a last-minute call to adjust the reception timeline as we watched the sun approaching the mountain horizon. I’m SO grateful for them trusting my judgment because if we even waited five more minutes, we would’ve lost that golden light! And those are some of my MANY favorites from the day!! After that short time running around outside, we came in to kick off the party! I loved hearing all of the sweet toasts from family and friends because it was a true testament to how incredible these two are and how fate brought them together. This is only the beginning of their love story!!
Check out their beautiful day through my lens!!!
A CLASSIC + SIMPLE WHITE AND SAGE WEDDING AT THE MANOR HOUSE, COLORADO
Then we ran out to capture the glowy light just before the sun disappeared behind the mountains — Such a magical time!!! 🙂
