As I was driving to Ryan and Brittany’s wedding, I had all the excited butterflies in my stomach. Even though it was right in the middle of wedding season, this Colorado wedding at The Manor House felt extra special. It was my first wedding in Colorado since moving here! Their big day exceeded all my expectations, as you’ll see below. With the views, an incredible venue, and perfect weather, I don’t think they could have asked for a better day!
Brittany and Ryan are easygoing and that translated so well in front of the camera! Honestly, they’re like the same person—calm, collected, and ready to go with the flow. They were up for anything, which made photographing them so fun and easy!
As for their wedding party, Ryan and Brittany didn’t just stick with the typical “Maid of Honor” and “Best Man.” They included a “Man of Honor” and a “Best Woman,” which I absolutely loved! It was so special that they went outside the box to include the people closest to them. Everyone—family included—was so sweet and fun, and they helped make Ryan and Brittany’s wedding day run smoothly and look absolutely beautiful!
The Ceremony + Party!!!
The ceremony took place with sweeping mountain views surrounding the guests, and the altar was perfectly centered with the Denver skyline in the distance—such an incredible backdrop! After the sweetest ceremony officiated by Brittany’s stepfather, everyone gathered in front of the manor house for a big group photo. I love any opportunity to do this for my couples! But one of my favorite moments of the day was when we gathered for family photos and bunnies started hopping around in the background. Brittany mentioned that bunnies reminded her of her grandmother, and that she was there in spirit during the family photos. It was such a sweet and touching moment that brought tears to my eyes! <3
When it was time for the party, we had to make a last-minute adjustment to the reception timeline as we watched the sun set over the mountains. I’m so grateful they trusted my judgment because if we had waited even five more minutes, we would have missed that golden light! Some of my favorite photos from the day came from that moment. After a quick session outside, we headed inside to kick off the party! The toasts from family and friends were so heartfelt and really showed what amazing people Ryan and Brittany are. Their love story is just getting started, and I know it’s going to be an incredible journey!
