The last time I photographed Jessica and Gary was on their wedding day back in 2014! Since then, they have had two precious little boys! Fast forward to this year, Jessica reached out wanting professional portraits of her family. We met at the Manassas Battlefield in Virginia to photograph her darling family. Although, we didn’t anticipate the HEAT on this October day! We planned for fall outfits, so we stuck to the plan and made the sweaters work at 70 degrees. Fortunately, you cannot tell that we were all sweating! Haha! Anything for the photo, right? 😉

Jessica and Gary’s boys were SO much fun to photograph!!! I’m not sure if it’s because I’m now a mother of a toddler and understand how to entertain them behind the lens. But this meant running around, playing games, chasing, and making silly faces. HA! The kids stuck it out the entire time, and I love some of these sweet portraits of just the boys as they played around the cannons and through the tall grass. 🙂 It can be typically hard for kids this age to hold their attention span for a session, but we kept it upbeat and fun! Plus, I loved reconnecting and catching up with Jessica and Gary since their wedding day at Heritage Hunt years back!! Check out their session below!
