When Jessica, Maxx, and I talked over the phone during our initial meeting, they mentioned how much they love Colorado. For Jessica, it’s all about skiing. For Maxx, it’s all about hiking! It sounds like they need to move out this way. 😉 This session was their first professional photographer shoot, and I was excited to document their engagement in downtown Breckenridge! Admittedly, they were nervous (which is totally normal before the session), but they quickly warmed up!! We also had beautiful backdrops to work with during the golden hour. That’s the best combination — A sweet couple, a beautiful/meaningful environment, and golden light!
Jessica and Maxx are getting married in my hometown at Airlie, Virginia, later this year — I love that we can capture these two sentimental places (Colorado and Virginia)! Although, Jessica thought it was such a tease to visit a ski town during the peak season without the ability to ski. For good reasons, though! They are expecting a baby girl in just a couple of months!! So it was fun celebrating two special occasions — an engagement and pregnancy! 🙂 I’m excited by their vision to celebrate their wedding day with their baby girl. It’s going to be the sweetest!!! I cannot wait to document all of the snuggles, kisses, and dances with her. <3 But in the meantime, I loved that we got to celebrate this beautiful “in the waiting” season.
