I met Tom and Jenn for their engagement session in Washington DC last spring, and after hanging out with them, I knew their wedding was going to be one to remember! 🙂 But I had *no* idea that we would battle the unpredictable weather. Fortunately for us, it actually worked in our favor (as you’ll see below), making this Stone Tower Winery wedding one of my favorites! On a side note, I think it’s fun seeing how purple is making a comeback from when I started my business in 2012! But this time, softer. I’m loving this color pallet!
Tom & Jenn’s Wedding Day
This Stone Tower Winery wedding really shows off the beauty of the venue and why Tom and Jenn chose it in the first place. Between the Tank Room ceremony, the cocktail hour outside during the double rainbow, and the reception inside while guests enjoyed the sunset from the panoramic windows, the rain did not dampen their plans to have the best wedding day. And with the rain stopping strategically in our timeline so they were able to have photos in the vineyard and by the pond, we got to take advantage of the property (thanks to the Stone Tower Winery staff and their accessible golf carts).
When it came to their details, I loved the mauve and light lavender mix. It was the perfect complement to the pink flowers blooming outside giving this a true spring-color blend. The customized dissolvable drink toppers were a fun little surprise for their guests to enjoy on their specialty drinks, Dirty Vodka Martini with a Blue Cheese Olive and a Spicy Paloma. I loved the soft, romantic pallet on their table displays and added a touch of color through the lavender candle pillars, mauve water cups, and lavender napkins. Besides the beautiful details, the unpredictable Virginia spring weather conditions made this wedding unique and unforgettable! And their party lived up to its expectation, especially when Jenn surprised everyone with an outfit change. 🙂 So many fun memories that will forever be remembered thanks to the vendor team for pulling this day off!
