Maxx and Jessica chose to have their wedding at Airlie in Warrenton, Virginia on a beautiful fall day. They were lucky because they just missed a gloomy/chilly week! Maxx and Jessica were surrounded by love and blessings, especially with their five-month-old girl. You might recognize this couple from their Colorado engagement/maternity session from earlier this year! We had the best time photographing in Breckenridge, CO as well as at Sapphire Point! But just a couple of days after their trip to Colorado, Jessica was struck by a speeding car. Maxx and her family weren’t sure if she and/or their baby were going to be okay. But by steadfast prayers and recovery, Jessica was able to safely deliver their baby, and both were healthy to enjoy every minute of the wedding day! AMAZING. As you would imagine, this wedding day was extra special. <3
Maxx & Jessica’s Wedding Day
Jessica and Maxx were so excited to celebrate their wedding day with their closest family and friends! After the highs and lows of the year, they were looking forward to ending the year on a high note! 🙂
When planning their wedding, they wanted to keep it simple but meaningful. Jessica had her father cut logs for the ceremony decor, and they incorporated their love for Colorado and nature by naming each reception table after a location they love (like Breckenridge, CO). I’m secretly hoping we will end up on the ski slopes at the same time. 🙂 When Jessica and I became Instagram friends, I loved watching her skiing videos with her dad! They have traveled all over skiing, and even though we couldn’t incorporate the sport during their engagement/maternity session, maybe one day!
Jessica’s dress was feminine and beautiful with the lace detailing. I loved that Josie, Maxx and Jessica’s baby, wore a fluffy white dress — SO CUTE. Her entrance was the most adorable — Josie was wheeled in by a little wagon during the ceremony. She did so great watching mama and dada marry! They added the quintessential fall colors through the bridesmaid dresses and florals! Jessica’s fall wedding dreams came true thanks to her florist, Ella! 🙂
Everyone gathered at the reception to celebrate the newlyweds, enjoy the food, and dance! It didn’t disappoint. When I emailed Jessica with their final gallery, I told her that I laughed while editing the dancing photos. They had a great time and that made my “job” so fun to document/edit! I think this will be Josie’s favorite true love story to read over and over again in the future. <3
