What a romantic evening! The sky showed off for Olivia and Marshall’s Skyline Drive Virginia mountain engagement session! And their sweet laughs/smiles lit up the photos more. <3 I appreciated them driving from the DC metro area for these portraits in the mountains. Shenandoah Mountain photos are some of my favorite sessions in Virginia!
Talk about a photogenic couple. When I first met Olivia and Marshall, I knew I was in for a treat photographing them. They came prepared with outfit choices, which was fun to mix and match during the session! I loved Olivia’s white dress with the sheer sleeves. Marshall & I planned to meet for our first date at a small speakeasy that I had never been to. After some slight panic that I had absolutely no idea where I was going, I ran into him, who was equally lost. As soon as we met and began searching for this place together, I got a glimpse at his outgoing and fun personality. I instantly knew I could fall for him. After a great first date, we never stopped talking and began spending every moment we could together. It didn’t take long before we decided to make it official and begin our relationship.

After only officially dating for about 4 months, we had already begun to talk about an engagement. When we took a trip to my family’s house in Key West, FL, we decided to look at rings on Duval Street. Things ended up escalating a bit more quickly than expected after got to the jewelry store. I tried on a bunch of rings and ended up falling in love with a specific one. When Marshall saw how much I loved it, he ended up getting it right there. He got down on a knee later that week at my family vacation home!
