Black Horse Manor, Warrenton Virginia Wedding

Black Horse Manor, Warrenton Virginia Wedding

I don’t think EJ and Eliana could have asked for a more perfect wedding day at Black Horse Manor in Warrenton, Virginia. From start to finish, it was a true fairytale! Eliana’s parents joked in their speech that their daughter’s 85-page wedding spreadsheet might have had something to do with it—organization pays off. 🙂 I personally love a Type A bride!

This day wouldn’t have been possible without an amazing vendor team. Everyone worked seamlessly together so EJ and Eliana could truly be present and soak in every moment. And speaking of their venue, Black Horse Manor in Warrenton, Virginia has gone through some incredible upgrades recently! With new prep spaces, improved traffic flow around the property, and an expanded ballroom that’s light, airy, and spacious, it’s a dream location for couples. (And lucky me—it’s only 10 minutes from my parents’ house!)

EJ & Eliana’s Wedding Day

When I arrived, Eliana and her girls were on cloud nine, filling the bridal suite with joy and excitement. Meanwhile, the guys had the easy morning upstairs (as they always do, haha!). The anticipation was building, but both Eliana and EJ radiated excitement—it was written all over their faces.

The afternoon was full of meaningful touches. Eliana wore her mother’s blusher from her own wedding day, a sentimental heirloom that tied the generations together so beautifully. Later, the ceremony chuppah held even deeper meaning—the draping across the top was made from the prayer shawls of both Eliana’s late grandfathers. It was such a heartfelt way to honor their memory while beginning a new chapter of family legacy.

The ceremony itself overlooked the rolling hills of Virginia, the perfect backdrop for such an emotional occasion. Rabi Sam Hollander led with warmth and even brought along a Snickers bar to retell EJ and Eliana’s “how we met” story, which had the whole crowd laughing. It felt deeply personal and joy-filled.

One of my favorite details? EJ’s love for history shined through in the Ketubah. He discovered a beautifully unique piece from Italy, and during the signing, there were nothing but smiles and laughter—such a true reflection of their relationship.

If the ceremony was emotional, the reception was pure energy! Guests filled the expanded ballroom, ready to celebrate. The Hora was, of course, a highlight—always my favorite to photograph—and once the planners introduced strobe lights, the dance floor came alive. There was so much joy, movement, and laughter that I couldn’t stop smiling behind the camera. 🙂
