What a beautiful way to end the year! A pink classy Christmas inspired wedding! Not to mention with a gorgeous couple!!! Seriously, they are absolutely gorgeous inside and out! I had the privilege of getting to know Kaye through JMU’s Marching Royal Dukes (Go Dukes!) as we were both in the piccolo section together … yes, the cute and squeaky instrument! 😉 So of course when she told me she was getting married and I must do her wedding I was of course SUPER excited! It all started with her engagement session at JMU in the rain!
One thing about this wedding that really stuck out to me was their genuine hearts and love for Christ. Right before the ceremony, Jeremy and Kaye took a moment outside to pray together. What a beautiful experience it was for me to capture and witness their confession of love to God and to each other before they make the commitment at the altar. Another moment that stuck out to me was the father of the bride’s speech at the reception. I actually went up to him to applaud him for the beautifully written speech. One point of his speech, he said that he was losing his daughter. Realistically though, he admitted that he never really had her … he only had her for a moment of time. Jeremy is her life now. God created her to be in his life for the 20 something years before she found herself in love and then to eventually have her own family. Now there are not just two families, Kaye’s family | Jeremy’s family … or one big family combining the two families together … there are THREE families. Kaye’s family | Jeremy’s family | Jeremy + Kaye. He is absolutely right!
Jeremy, Kaye and families, thank you for the warm welcomes and honoring me to capture this beautiful day! Wishing you nothing but the absolute best as you venture a new chapter of your life! Enjoy the preview! xoxo
Caught Kaye playing piano through this door. 🙂
That’s right! Batman garter and socks!
Then … the girls saw her and reality sunk in!
Cuff Links with the wedding date on them. Love it!
Ohhhh Jeremy was excited about his gifts from Kaye!
Kaye surprised one of her bridesmaids with a little memory on her bouquet. It got all of us tearing up!
Kaye’s gift from Jeremy … it’s BLUE! 😉 All girls know what that means… 😉
