I’m feeling good about 2014 already! š The push and the drive is motivating me! ā¦ and the bazillion lists I have made! š
So far I have in the past 7 days, I have
*Organized my entire office space. When I debuted my office space last summer, it wasn’t completely clean. Yes, it appeared clean but if you saw inside the closet, it had no structure. A ton of tripods, light stands, boxes, packaging supplies. Finally, I took the time to reorganize the space and it feels wonderful! I also reorganized all of the paperwork I had on the shelves. THAT was a task! Insurance, investments, personal, graphic design ā¦ they were all jumbled together. I’ll be the first to admit that moving is HARD. But now that I’m settled in I figured it was time to start really digging through this and straighten up. I bought 7 new binders with colorful tabbed sections (it felt like school shopping again, which was always my favorite thing!!!), organized all of my paperwork, hole punched every section of paperwork and filed it. I also went ahead and started a binder for this years business so I can make sure I’m on task with tax stuff from the start!
*Bought 2014 years worth of packaging supplies. I figured this would be a great thing to do. Bought how much I anticipate going through the entire year instead of having to do inventory seven to eight months from now. Surprisingly, August this year is one of my busiest months! So I wouldn’t want to be short on supplies when that time comes.
*A note to the bullet above: I also revamped my session + wedding + gift packaging! Loving it! I will share sometime soon once all of the supplies are in! š
*Cameras professional cleaned inside and out.
*In the process of learning a new way of workflow to ensure I’m not wasting time in front of the computer and instead spending more time with family. š
*I got a FitBit!!! I’m SO excited to get it in the mail any day now so I can get back into it!
*In the process of filing and organizing 2013 taxes to turn into the CPA ā¦ it’s that time of year again!
*Synced my Google Drive. Any other photographers use this? I LOVE using it for storing important paperwork like contracts as a backup. I also use it for keeping track of other random business paperwork. It works GREAT!
*Officially booking for 2015 clients!!!
In the next 7 days, I want to
*Plan out details of the great american road trip! Kyle and I want to travel, so this might seem like the best trip for this year. Next year, we want to tour Europe!
*Start revamping blog and website design. There is always something to redesign. š
*Finalize 2013 tax paperwork.
*Turn in work to be featured. š
