I knew I fell in love with these two the moment I met them at Mount Vernon. They care for one another and they are not afraid to show that in public or in front of the camera. I felt like I was experiencing all of their emotions on their special day which left me and everyone in tears several times. 🙂 It was such an honor to document these precious memories for them to hold on to for the rest of their lives and for generations to come!
I remember setting up Rob and Jennifer’s final meeting and I received a concerned email from Jennifer regarding an unexpected event happening on their wedding day. I could tell that she was super bummed to hear that not only was there going to be construction around the building with gardens closed off as well as the accessible parking for her guests … but that the city was going to hold a rock concert on the same block as the venue. I tried easing her to know that we will still get all of the photos needed to make the day as if nothing was a concern from the start. And it was perfect! I could not have been more blessed with such a positive couple on their wedding day! In fact, there was a little unexpected surprise for them as we were taking portraits! I decided that even though people were all over the street in front of the venue, we should still make our way over there for some photos. As we made our way up the stairs in front of the concert, the band announced their congratulations to Rob & Jennifer in front of the crowd. 🙂 So sweet! I continued to set them up for photos and I had two gentlemen approach us, just assuming they wanted to make their way into the building … but to our surprise, it was the mayor of Fairfax congratulating them and apologizing for the inconveniences of the concert. Being the sweethearts they are, they did not think anything of the concert because they were going to make the best of their wedding day as possible! 🙂
Thank you Rob & Jennifer for welcoming me into your wedding with open arms! The day was absolutely amazing from start to finish. 🙂 Your love inspires me SO much!!! Love you both! CONGRATS! xoxo
The cutest flower girl with SO much personality!!!
Jennifer handmade ties for all of the men! Love it!!
So funny! Rob pulled out this card Jennifer gave him and he could not stop laughing. He said that they both saw this card and he was not going to pick it up because he just knew that Jennifer would get it … he was right. 😉 Then … Cocoa Dyno-Bites! Coincidentally, Rob gave a gift that one of his groomsmen received for his own wedding day … after realizing this, they wanted to give him a little something extra so this cereal obviously got him excited. 😉
Time to get dressed! 🙂
Momma daughter moments. 🙂 So sweet!
This made me tear up … everyone walked out of the room waiting for her. I stood behind gathering my stuff when I turned around to find her tearing up because she saw herself for the first time in the mirror after opening the door. She whispered that she hoped Rob would think her dress was pretty. Judging from their first look below … I think he was blown away. 🙂
Time to get hitched!!! The cutest ring bearer and flower girl! Rob is a airplane pilot, so they incorporated an airplane instead of the traditional pillow holding the rings. 🙂 Love this idea!
Jennifer is adorable!
Then these handwritten vows had EVERYONE in tears …
