YAY! One of my best friends is MARRIED!!!! 🙂 This weekend felt like a whirlwind, but it was perfect!
All of the bridesmaids and I met at Amanda’s house to load up the car and head out to get our nails done. Going through the bridesmaid perspective is SO different from the photographer’s perspective, so it was a great change of pace. 🙂 It was time for the rehearsal dinner and I could only AWE at the venue Bruce + Amanda selected! The Evergreen Country Club sat right next to the mountains with beautiful views and scenery … seriously, I cannot wait to see how the photos turn out! Around 8p.m., we were all tired and just wanted to have one big sleepover with wedding movies. Of course though, if we had the choice, it would have been Disney. 😉 Amanda was able to get her beauty sleep through the night and it was finally her WEDDING DAY on Saturday!!! I never realized that wedding prep starts SO early! We had to be up at 7 a.m. to make it to the venue to start our hair prepping at 8/8:15 a.m. So mimosas allllll morning long! 🙂 When 4 p.m. came around, it was only 30 minutes until she walked down the aisle … oh gosh, I remember looking at the clock thinking to my photographer self, “I need to get outside to set up … oh wait, I get to stay in here and be told what to do instead!” Sweet!!! What Amanda didn’t know was that I had a little surprise up my sleeve during the ceremony! 😉
Photo taken at rehearsal dinner with all of the bridesmaids. 🙂 Clearly did not take my camera with me to these weekend events!
That week prior to the ceremony, I wanted to create a special moment for Bruce + Amanda and I knew one way to do that for a great photograph! Since I planned it kind of last minute, I did it the VERY hard way! I thought it would be cute to have the guests throw confetti in the air as they exited the ceremony as husband and wife without them expecting it! 🙂 And they had NO idea!!! So I created 22 little goodie bags with a handful of confetti to sit just on the inside rows of the aisle. I don’t think I could have made 100+ bags otherwise my hand would have fallen off from the amount of paper I hand punched/cut! Whew! Just in those 22 bags, I had mixed plantable paper I scrapped up, gold metallic confetti to sparkle in the shots and 800+ hole punched purple hearts! And yes, I hand punched every one of them! I probably could have found it on Etsy if I had done my research sooner, but that’s okay. 😉 I’m a pretty patient person and it’s the thought that counts, right!? I just made sure to tell one of my friends to sit close to the aisle so at least I know ONE person will be throwing confetti! Haha! It looked like it worked so I’m excited to see how the photos turn out! 🙂
After the ceremony, it was finally party time and we danced our BUTTS off! I didn’t even have time to drink a glass of wine once the dance floor opened because you better believe I was taking advantage of dancing with my girls. 🙂 I never get to dance at weddings so this was something I was definitely looking forward to and Nate Clancy from ImtheDJ did a GREAT job!!! The night seemed SO short as the wedding ended at 9:20 p.m. to line up for the sparkler exit. We wished them goodbye and knew that Saturday night ended perfectly! Now they are happily MARRIED and enjoying themselves at the GORGEOUS Turks and Caicos!!! Cannot wait to relive their special day through their photos! So blessed to have been able to celebrate their wedding day with them! I know Bruce will take great care of Amanda and cannot wait to see where the future takes them. LOVE YOU BOTH!!!! xoxo
Yay! Love this girl!!!
Another little project of mine was to make the “I Spy” cards to sit at every seat as well as the table assignment table. 🙂 SO fun putting together little details!
I ended the weekend off with Keith and Carolyn’s beautiful military wedding on Sunday! 🙂 This weekend was AMAZING. The sun, the temperature … everything! SO incredibly blessed and I know it made for stress-free brides. 🙂 Cannot wait to share more of their wedding on the blog this week!!!
Happy Monday!!!
