Happy New Year!!!

Welcome 2015! I’m posting this post SUPER late but I have been making sure to get plentyyyyy of sleep during this sick season to ensure I’m healthy and good for my winter weddings. 🙂 Today, I want to share how my sequin skirt turned out!

This was an interesting sewing project for me because I worked with sequin fabric once before but not as fancy as this fabric shown below. Plus the last sequin project I had was making a clutch … so needless to say this was WAY different! It was a pretty simple project, however I realized at the last minute that I had to altar the entire pattern because it was going to be way too short! I extended the pattern eight inches in order for it to be long enough. This means I picked up a skirt pattern that was really a knee length skirt. 😉 Ohhhhhh well! It’s okay though because I was able to fix it and I had enough fabric to make this work. 🙂 I’m happy with the turn out and excited to wear it again in the near future!!! 🙂

New Years Eve, Kyle and I arranged a fancy cocktail party with family and some friends. What a great way to bring in the new year! As a part of the party, I set up a DIY photo booth at the last second and loved the turn out! I now want to make it a tradition to host a New Year Eve cocktail party. 🙂

Found these cute props at Paper Source and Party Company! 🙂
