I hope everyone’s weekend was great! Although, I will say that cold rain is not good enough in my book! I’m hoping for a snow covered ground today (crossing fingers!!)!! Snow dance anyone?
This weekend I took the time to update my blog design! Somehow when it comes to certain projects, it always takes longer than expected. While I didn’t make drastic changes, I made changes that reflect my new upscaled branding. I’ll be tweaking it over time to where I want to be as I still have little details I want to fix up. 🙂
Here’s an example below of one aspect I changed! In the header, I absolutely NEEDED an updated slideshow! I also thought that I needed to spruce up the widgets that were below the slideshow as they were too muted for me after starring at them for over a year now. 😉
This is the current layout below. 🙂 I stretched the new slideshow from the left to the right side of the blog and took out the white line/decor frame. I created new widgets below the slideshow that have updated photos and stand out more from the muted tones from before. Also, I updated my new head shot as well as my fonts. You may also notice that I have subtitles now under the blog post title … another little detail! ALSO, instead of my viewers going through all of the photos from one blog post to get to the other I have excerpts so it makes it easier for navigating. If you want to see what I mean, check it out HERE. 🙂
I’m glad I could check this off my winter to do list! 🙂 I will say that I am so proud of myself for crossing off already eight things off my winter to do list! I have been trying to take on a project per week and it seems to be working for now. I have so far updated my logo, website, blog, head shots, office space, completed and turned in my taxes, sent out an end of the year survey to my 2014 brides and I figured out my 2015 budget! This week, I want to focus on designing two sample albums, note my package inventory for 2015 year, make package purchases if needed and complete a few submissions. 🙂
Hope everyone has a wonderful start to their work week!!
