Best of 2015 | Wedding Party

By the time the wedding party can come out and take photos, I try preparing them as much as possible. Making sure the girls are completely dressed and ready to go for photos before the bride even needs to get in to her dress, informing the girls to dab the bottom of the bouquet to soak up any water residue to avoid water marks on their dress, etc. On the other hand, the men are a little bit easier as long as they know what time they are needed for photos and the boutonnieres are all set. We go through these details during our final meeting together so there are no questions the day of the wedding. 🙂

Most of the time, we are lucky enough to completely take care of the wedding party photos prior to the ceremony, especially when the bride and groom decide to have a first look. If a first look isn’t preferred, I make sure we make time for the bridesmaids and the groomsmen to have their photos taken before the ceremony so it doesn’t take away any time afterwards. It REALLY helps the portrait time! 🙂 Plus, why not have the photos done ASAP so their hair/makeup look fabulous?! I’ll admit though, sometimes the plan of action we make before the wedding day doesn’t always execute in a timely manner. That’s completely okay! The last thing I would want to do is stress the bride/groom with a timeline. The wedding day shouldn’t be like that! It is what it is and my job is to make sure that I make it work! One wedding this past year, I didn’t have any time to take the girls outside for their wedding party photos since the guests were arriving. I re-strategized my plan and instead just grabbed the men for photos with the idea that I’ll take care of the girls after the ceremony. I did what I could do with the time and it worked out with plenty of time for portraits! 🙂

I have to say that this year has been blessed with some pretty amazing gals/men! They were all enthusiastic, cheerful, beautiful/handsome and willing to do anything for their sweet bride & groom! I love that! 🙂 I’m looking forward to another great year with many more friendships!
