GUYS! It’s MOVING WEEK!!!!! After months of excitement and planning, I’m finally able to move furniture in and start decorating! It was so hard to be excited about my house days after closing when I found out about my grandmother passing away. Now that God has given me peace, I’m able to be excited about the move while keeping great memories of my grandmother in my thoughts every day. The big move happens on Thursday so I’m slowly but surely getting the space prepped. One thing I found when purchasing a house is to make time (if the timing works out) to paint/spruce up the space before moving anything in. When you have clutter to work around, it makes it more difficult to get work done fast. Of course when I was looking at upgrades when purchasing my house, most things were overpriced. I have found that if you hire someone outside of the builder, you can save a LOT of money! Sometimes even 50%! I knew I wanted to add value to the space by installing some nice trim work but purchasing the supplies myself and hiring a family friend to help out has saved me so much! During this time, I have installed blinds, window treatments, painted the main rooms, thrift shopped for great deals on furniture, installed trim thanks to my family friend as well as installed some light fixtures thanks to Mr. Loch! 🙂 I look forward to sharing some of the projects I have worked on with you soon over the weeks to come!
Here are some sneak peeks of the space so far with still some work to do! 🙂 Mind you, this is a work in progress!!! Don’t mind the IPhone photos in the meantime since my camera is getting babied at a camera shop prepping for the upcoming wedding season. 😉
My office space! 🙂
Bedroom! GAH! I just LOVE that tray ceiling!!! The chandelier was an amazing find at a local Restore!
Living room space! 🙂 I love the natural light!!!! And as you can see, I have INTERNET there on the ground! Lol! SO excited to have fast speed internet for the first time in my life!!!
Dining Room space! Currently working on caulking the trim so I can start painting … BLAH!
Kitchen! 🙂 It’s funny to see that brass is “out of date” but I actually LOVE it!!! I replaced the silver hardware for brass and it really changed the look!
