Well it has been a while since I have had the privilege of photographing a proposal. 🙂 I had the incredible honor of photographing one sweet proposal Fourth of July weekend and it could not have been a better kick off to the Holiday weekend! Justin contacted me weeks ago regarding this surprise proposal to Allie. I was so excited when he started spilling out his ideas and I only prayed the weather would work in our favor since everything counted on that working out. He told Allie that he had hired me to photograph family portraits since they have been wanting to do it for a long time with his great grandmother. It was a great excuse for me to come. 🙂 The week leading up to the proposal, I was so nervous for Justin! I just knew he had put so much time and effort into the important question that I wanted everything to go perfectly for him. 🙂 SO glad it did!!! The weather on July 2nd was gorgeous and we were able to get through many variations of family portraits and ended with Justin and Allie’s photos. You will just have to see how it all came together below!!! 🙂 It’s about time this proposal happened! Love my JMU couples!!! Go Dukes!

We tricked Allie to believe I was there to photograph family photos. We did manyyyyy variations of parents, siblings, grandparents, etc. to really throw her off. 🙂 The plane was scheduled to arrive at a certain time so we had to stall until his arrival.
Justin asked if Allie wanted photos on the dock and as soon as they walked up, the plane flew overhead for Allie to read. 🙂
