Eric & Ashley | Morais Vineyards, Virginia Winery Wedding

Eric, Ashley and I met a year ago, and before we knew it, Saturday came and went! Eric and Ashley were excited about their big day … As was I because I love every Morais Vineyard wedding! They love the architecture of the venue and fit with their vision for their special day. 🙂 When figuring out a theme, they thought “Great Gatsby” described it best because they love the era. Their details came together beautifully thanks to their vision and Katie from Pure Whimsy Events! Many family and friends came together to contribute their talents to make this day a day to never forget. From the bouquets to the brooch cake topper to the centerpieces, everyone had a little part in helping!

Their wedding started with a whiskey shot between Eric and Ashley’s dad. The whiskey shots have and will continue to be a tradition for them, so it was their way to kick off the ceremony! Eric and Ashley had a sweet ceremony, and I know as much as Eric wanted to have his brothers there, they were there in spirit! I hope they can look through these images and feel like they were there a part of his big day! 🙂 Following the ceremony, we had beautiful lighting for portraits! We originally planned to do a first look with the majority of the photos done before the ceremony, but we had to switch some things around to make the photo timeline work in our favor. I’m glad it worked out like that because we were able to take photos during sunset “golden hour”! Once the reception started, the sunset and it wasn’t long before we noticed a TON of bats flying overhead! Appropriate for Halloween weekend? Haha! I tried not thinking too much about “The Office” episode with Meredith… 😉 I hope everyone knows the reference; if not, check it out HERE! Inside, everyone was boogying down on the dance floor with 80s music as the favorite dance theme for the evening! Eric and Ashley decided to have a spontaneous money dance, and it was hilarious seeing everyone having fun with the event. You’ll see what I mean below. 😉 HA!
