Where do I even begin this post? I absolutely ADORE Jason and Brittney. I had the privilege of meeting them through Monterey Church, but I believe Jason and I met years ago in the wedding industry since his older brother has done video and DJ work! God connects us with people in our lives for a reason, and without a doubt, these two have inspired me in many ways. Brittney is one of the sweetest, most caring, genuine, beautiful people I have the honor to call one of my friends! To pair Brittney with Jason is a great match! Jason is spontaneous, fun, thoughtful and … so in love with Brittney! They are simply the CUTEST as you’ll see in the video below! <= That’s a MUST.
Jason contacted me about a week ago excitingly telling me that he wanted to propose to the love of his life. I was bouncing off walls because I knew Brittney wouldn’t want it any other way. Without a doubt, she feels 100% the same way in return. This was God’s plan all along. When I asked Jason how he would propose, my heart fluttered with anticipation. I gathered some things around my house to help decorate the table while Jason took Brittney around DC throughout the afternoon to throw her off. On the way to “dinner,” he pulled over at a gas station and blindfolded her. He took random back roads to confuse her and eventually ended up in his parent’s back yard.
It was a pretty chilly night outside, but Jason was prepared with a heater, a campfire and an electric blanket. Thanks to the help of family and friends, the outdoor dining space came together beautifully!!! I was dressed like a ninja (lol!) along with hand warmers since I knew I was going to be outside for a while. As soon as they pulled up to the backyard, I ran around the car to hide while Brittney was still blindfolded. Jason helped Brittney out of the car and brought her to the start of the candles. After he had taken off the blindfold, he walked her up to the table to admire the surroundings. When Jason was getting ideas for the proposal, he knew that family was important. I loved how Jason incorporated their parents during dinner (you have to see the photos below)! Following dinner, he got Brittney up to hang out by the campfire to keep warm and enjoy their time together on New Year’s Eve. Around this time, I started to smell a skunk and I got nervous I was going to blow the surprise. I tried not looking too much around me in case I did find one running around close by. Lol!
Jason and Brittney have done video work together, so it’s appropriate how Jason popped the question! He brought out an IPad with the SWEETEST video ever combining different moments over the course of their relationship. *Spoiler Alert*: She said YES! 🙂 We all celebrated and admired the ring, but she had no clue what was to come… As we walked up the hill towards the house, we convinced her that she needed to celebrate with the parents and call everyone to share the news! Welllllll … Jason arranged an engagement party inside the family-owned store, next door to the house. She walked in and found her family and best friends celebrating the occasion! She was completely shocked and smitten. It was the perfect ending to the year and I could not have been more excited and honored to be a part of this surprise! To everyone who helped make this happen, I know Jason and Brittney are so grateful for each and every one of you!

I love this! Brittney loved the space so much that she insisted to take a bunch of photos of the table set up and of course a photo of Jason! Lol!
