Wow. Where did FIVE years go?! If you’re new around here, Pixie is basically my business mascot. π If you follow along on Instagram, you’ll see her on my Instastories from time to time. Not oneΒ day that goes by that I make sure I don’t take her for granted. π I cannot imagine what life will be like for her when I get a dog… Oh Lord help me! Haha!
Exactly five years to this date, my sister called my mom and I saying she found a four-day-old kitten all alone under a tree. Turned out that the momma cat was having litter after litter and started to “kick them to the curb.” Poor Pixie was barely standing at this point, crying helplessly under a tree outside of Poplar Springs and couldn’t even open her eyes! Imagine how our hearts broke over this thought of a lost kitten?! My mom and I drove out to meet with my sister and picked up Pixie. π We had NO idea what we were getting into because we have raised cats, but never a momma-less kitten. Google came in handy!! I bottled fed Pixie every day and snuggled with her, on top of regular doctor visits and everything from there. It was basically a full-time job!! I got my first glimpse of motherhood. Haha!
Thinking back to those first few days with Pixie, I had NO idea she would be my very own. I became attached to her unlike any other animal, I guess because I became the momma she didn’t have. <3 Even though we have our differences at times (you may laugh, but I’m FOR REAL),Β she makes me so happy!
This post pretty much sums up her daily life. Haha! Every morning, she walks into my bedroom and hops on my bed to snuggle with me (my favorite time of the morning)! Her days involve eating, running around, watching the fish and of course, SLEEPING! At night, she’s hyper until she finally crashes and passes out. I cannot keep up with her at times since she always wants to play when I want to relax, but it’s cute! I’m so grateful she has walked into my life and I will continue to embrace her presence every day until her last. Animals are truly a person’s best friend!!! But later this year, I might be welcoming home a dog! We will seeeeeee!!! π π π

Ever since she was a BABY, she has loved this little cow toy! I find her crying around the house at random times, carrying around this toy. π So precious!!
Weird moment waking up one morning to her laying in a corner … By herself. Haha!
Oh yes, and she loves watching bird life on the IPad!

To sum up this post … She LOVES sleeping and snuggling. I’m looking forward to another year of snuggles! Haha!
