Weekend Recap

Weekend Recap

I hope you were able to enjoy the beautiful Saturday weather in VA! Leading up to the weekend, I was excited for a weekend “off” to explore and adventure before the wedding season kicks into gear. With the spring-like weather, I was planning to visit Charlottesville and enjoy the wineries as well as the historical venues. There’s so much to do down there, and it’s always breathtaking with the mountain views! Unfortunately, Friday afternoon, Kyle received news that his best friend, Pat, passed away from a car accident. Absolutely DEVASTATING. I’m not going to lie, it has been a hard weekend.

Right now, we cannot wrap our heads around the news. There’s not a moment that goes by in the day when we don’t think about Pat. He was an incredible person, inside and out, and I always told him that he was my favorite of Kyle’s friends. He was one-of-a-kind and would give you his shirt off his back. Naturally, selfless. We kept telling him that we needed to find an incredible girl for him, but honestly, he never had a problem with girls. Haha! There were so many great memories with him over the years, and I will continue to encourage Kyle to think about the positive/fun memories together. I loved seeing Kyle over the weekend with his family and friends reminiscing the good times as they looked through old photos back from when they were teens. I’m absolutely heartbroken for Kyle, Pat’s family and friends. Please keep them in your prayers as the news is still sinking in.

So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.
