Danny, Laurie and I met last week at the very location they will say yes to forever. <3 In December, just a day before the clock ticks into the New Year, they will share a kiss as husband and wife at the Winery at Bull Run. Except, we won’t have spring flowers, but maybe flurries? That would be romantic!!! 😉
We spent a brief amount of time walking around the winery taking photos while catching up since our first meeting. I was happy to see them in pretty pastels which complimented the spring atmosphere! Especially when we spotted a purple blooming tree. 🙂 But what I was most excited for was when we ran next door to the Manassas Battlefields to find, to our surprise, the Virginia Bluebells blossoming!!! Score! 🙂 Laurie’s sister, Christina, brought their pup, Alex, to incorporate this part of the session. That dog knows how to smile for the camera!!! I’ve photographed not so happy pups in the past, but Alex was ready for his close up! What a cutie. 🙂 And the three of them together are some of my favorites from this session!!! Danny and Laurie are so sweet together, and I absolutely enjoyed getting to meet them in person before the big day! We planned a trip to the Bahamas in October. In the weeks leading up to our trip, I did not think Danny was going to propose. Little did I know, he had been planning this since August when he reached out to my sister for help designing my blue topaz ring. In the weeks prior to our trip, Danny talked to both of my parents and shared his plans with his parents. Since we were on vacation, I had a few too many glasses of wine while traveling and when we arrived in Nassau, I was not feeling so well. Once we checked into the room, I rested for a little while and Danny asked me what I wanted to do. I said let’s go walk on the beach and explore! So we went walking and walked which felt like forever. Danny showed me around the resort since he had been there before. We were walking along this cove, he was looking for a secluded place and I was looking to take a break from walking, ha! Finally he lead to me the middle of the cove and got down on his knee and proposed in the sand. I was stunned! I really did not think he would have proposed on the first day of our trip. A few hours later, I shared the news with my family who had been waiting to hear from me because they all knew the plan!
