It has been a while since posting a DIY project on the blog. 🙂 And if you know me, I love working on things with potential!!! Even if it is as simple as a paint job and new hardware. Being 30+ weeks pregnant, I wasn’t looking for a time-consuming project. But this project found me!! So I took on a DIY refurbished changing table, and I’m excited to share it with you today!
When I was pregnant with Jack, I wasn’t entirely sure what I really needed. I thought I would run upstairs to his dresser to change every diaper… I mean, why would I want two diaper changing stations in the house? YEAH RIGHT!!! I cannot believe I thought I wouldn’t need this changing table. With our master bedroom downstairs, some sort of diaper changing station nearby (especially at 2:30 a.m.) is crucial!!! Fortunately for me, I stumbled across this FREE diaper changing table on the Facebook Marketplace!
Now, I don’t want you to look at this post as just inspiration for a changing table. This can be applied to SO many different projects!!! 🙂 But I hope that this transformation can inspire you! As long as you have “good bones” then you can make it happen!!! Check out the before and after!
How to Simply Refurbish

Changing Table
Rag (wipe down the furniture clean)
Furniture Paint
Brush
Tarp
Hardware (knobs)

How To
This might be the easiest “how to” blog post… HA! Simply put your piece of furniture on top of the tarp to protect the floor from paint spills. Remove the drawers from the base. Use your screwdriver to remove the knobs. Wipe down your furniture with a rag. Paint 3-4 layers of furniture paint with your brush (be sure to let it fully dry before applying each layer). Screw on new hardware and slide drawers back in place!
DONE!!!!
The Changing Table Results!!!
Don’t forget the adding your accessories!!! 🙂
