We met on the most BEAUTIFUL evening this past weekend … I love how fall is now sinking in! It is really HERE! I can pull out my fall clothing (YAY!) and stop into Starbucks for hot drinks … and more importantly, it is FOOTBALL season! Of course being from the DC metro area, I am a Redskins fan … but we won’t talk about them at the moment. So at this time, I’ll keep my spirits in the JMU Dukes season!
Loved the attention to detail Katie and Zach put into their engagement session … prepared with props and a very well put together wardrobe! Seriously, the wardrobe makes a difference in photos! 🙂 Very classy, trendy and true to their personalities. They were on point! In fact, I am thinking of starting a little project in the next coming up year … stay tuned! My mind is always running and brainstorming, so I may have something to showcase to my 2015 brides/couples. Gosh, so far away but really it will be coming up before we know it!
I love downtown Culpeper because it is super cozy and small town with character. And the lighting never fails me! After we ran around downtown, we travelled to Old House Vineyard … as soon as we got out of the car, we were hearing this very loud and disturbing noise. Still have no clue what it was, but we were assuming that there was a territorial bird on a vine? Who knows, but it was our background music for the rest of the session. Lol!
Zach and Katie go back to 8th grade when they first met … and now, they are planning the biggest day of their lives! Here is how Zach proposed to Katie from Katie’s perspective! 🙂 …
It was a couple weekends before Christmas so I obviously wasn’t expecting anything! Sunday December 18, 2011 (I know seems like forever ago) we spent the day with family & friends hanging out & watching football. Zach hadn’t acted suspicious the whole day until that evening..we were sitting on the floor watching a movie & i knew he had gone Christmas shopping that weekend..so we started talking about our gifts! Every year before christmas we always open at least one gift before christmas day because we both cant stand surprises! He made me open one of my gifts & when I unwrapped it, it was a shoe box (not a type I would wear) I just looked at him & he kept saying just open it!! I finally opened the box & Zach got on one knee and asked if I would marry him!!  Of course I was in complete shock & after a couple seconds I realized I hadn’t said yes! Of course I said yes!
Thank you Zach and Katie for an awesome session! You two are so much fun and I cannot WAIT to see what you plan for your big day next summer!!!! Enjoy the preview!!! xoxo
