As a Colorado Springs Family Photographer, there’s something truly special about capturing moments for families at every stage of life. While I often photograph young families with children, it’s not as common to get the opportunity to photograph adult children, which makes these sessions even more meaningful. There’s a unique beauty in documenting the bond between a mother and her grown children.
One of the joys of photographing an older family is that they come ready and eager to work together. Sometimes, they aren’t super enthusiastic about having their photos taken, but everyone was in this case! They understand the end goal—beautiful, meaningful photographs that will serve as lasting memories—and they take direction so well. Amy and her children were not only easygoing, but their love for one another radiated through each shot, making my job easy.
A mama’s love for her children is undeniable, and when that love is captured in photographs, the result is treasured for a lifetime. The connection between Amy and her children was so evident in every frame as well as the bond between her children. It was clear that they share a deep and special relationship, and I’m so grateful to have been able to document this chapter of their lives.
