Weekend Catch Up

Are you adjusted to the new time yet? Fall time is my favorite not just because of the beautifully colored leaves and the great weather, but because of the extra hour of sleep we get! Yes! Amazing! Besides getting to sleep in an extra hour, this weekend was fabulous!!! I’m going to pretend that Friday never happened because of the internet frustrations that happened that entire day. I recently found out that I used up all of my monthly data allowance and just have 2 more days of this slowwwww internet! Let’s just say that I cannot WAIT! I believe since I have been super busy and have been posting up 8+ sessions and 6 weddings this past month on my blog and Facebook, it drained my internet usage … on top of all of the other business work I need to do. When I was at Panera and Starbucks on Friday, I wondered to myself … how do other photographers do this?! I was restricted to Starbucks/Panera last Friday to upload important photos for a submission and it took me 4.5 HOURS to upload just 121 photos. These photos were HiRes, yes, but they were normally sized to what I upload to my client server allllll of the time. Nothing should have been different for it to have taken that long. Fortunately though, I stuck it out until 9:30 p.m. Friday night and got it done. Sometimes having your own business is all about making sacrifices.

Saturday, I had an AMAZING day photographing my lovely couple, Paul and Megan! CONGRATS to these two and oh my gosh I am in love with their wedding! What a way to bring in the end of the year! This was my last wedding until December 14th! So this officially starts a little break for me from weddings which is nice because I just discovered yesterday that I am getting sick. šŸ™ God knew my timing and I’m glad he’s trying to pull me back and realize I need to breathe and step back for a little bit. Of course though, I have a full load of sessions coming up. šŸ™‚ Here’s a sneak peek from this weekend’s wedding! We were walking along a path and I looked up to see the most gorgeous lighting with little bugs flying around whenever they hit the stream of light. Loved the way it turned out! šŸ™‚

ALSO! I have another treat for you if you missed out on yesterday’s facebook post … Red Heron Productions posted up Andrew and Ashley’s special day! This is my first time after working with several videographers that I get to see the results! They did an amazing job! Check out their perfect summer day here captured by video:

I hope everyone has a FABULOUS start to their week! I’m going to make a trip out to the library tomorrow to catch up with internet work … it took me over 10 minutes just to get to this point of typing my blog post due to the slowwww internet. So it looks like I’m turning off my WiFi for today and will get back to emails tomorrow when I’m at the library! Sorry for the inconvenience! Have a wonderful day!

  1. Wow so sorry about your internet troubles!! Good thing you will be able to have a nice break this month šŸ™‚ That photo is AMAZING. Who knew bugs could assist in making such a lovely photo !!!

Steph Apparently I typed your own name into the “Name” box for my comment above. Weird, must have been because I was looking at your name when I typed it lol. Sorry about that!
