Off to California!

Tomorrow, Kyle and I will be taking off to California until the 19th! šŸ™‚ Which means I’m actually going to step away from blogging and emails until my return. It was only a few weeks ago we were at Massanutten thinking about future vacation plans and thought ā€¦ “Hey! Why not plan a road trip?!” We first thought about driving down the East Coast to Charleston and Savannah as our main points ā€¦ of course I thought how amazing it would be to take on some engagement photography sessions while I was there! Seriously, one DAY I will be down there! Lol! I’m dying to photograph with the spanish moss or cotton fields (of course this is the wrong season for cotton fields, but it’s the thought)! šŸ™‚ For now, we figured we need to DO something! So I realized that I had plane credits that expire the beginning of March and the rest of the CA planning is history! It’s a lot of planning to plan a road trip across the country instead of buying an all in one LivingSocial deal! But it’s worth it because we are hitting places we are wanting to see! šŸ™‚

So this is our map road trip!

We are flying into L.A. and will be making the trip to Yosemite after I visit one of my best friends and go to Venice/Hollywood. šŸ™‚ SO excited! Then it’s off to visit Yosemite and try to not to be attacked by bears! We are making plenty of time there to hang out and go hiking for a couple days. šŸ™‚ After that adventure, we are going to San Francisco and it is going to be crazyyyyyy! There is so much to do in such a small amount of time, but really we are going to just wing it! We wrote out some main attractions, but we are going to play it by ear so we aren’t disappointed if we didn’t end up going to an attraction or two. Once we check out, we are on our way to Sonoma for some wine and amazing views! YAY! We will then venture to Santa Cruz where we will stay the night and enjoy the beaches/mountain views! Before we head down to Cambria for the night, we will be stopping along the coast to Monterey, Carmel and the “Big Sur” area! All of these places are going to be photo worthy and you better believe I’m taking my camera with me 100% of the time! šŸ™‚ I’ll be blogging about our adventures upon our return on the 20th! SO excited to get this road trip started!!!

Until then, I hope everyone has a wonderful Valentines Day! xoxo

Hi Stephanie, I’m going to yosemite in 2 weeks, the 5mile hike you did sounds fabulous. Where did you park and hike to/from? Do you think that’s a better option than doing the 2hr guided tour or will I fit that in as well? So many thanks for your help x
